This is probably the best mid-sized carry bag I've found. It inspires me to tune up my EDC game. But we stay grounded in this Nutnfancy EDC Update: this ain't no survival kit or an end of the world bag...that's your USK/DSK/BOKs (watch those vids too). Instead this 5.11 "Push Pack" opens up just a bit more possibilities than my beloved and usual small fanny pack (which you guys still aren't secure enough to use ha ha). This 5.11 bag will integrate smart choices in EDC items and I go over the why and how of each selection, links below. This is probably another 5.11 carry bag, like the 2 Banger, that will be discontinued so get it while you can.

Moe Mansour

My honest carry today... Sog Powerpint, Lumintop Tool AA, Spyderco Endela, Casio PRG 330 protrek, Thurnite aaa keychain light, Maratac prybar. No pew pew cuz that's not legal in Chinada.

Lee Harrell [W5GCF]

Strike pen has one philosophy of use for me - air travel.

Racing Psychosis

Just got home. EDC/Pocket Dump: Gerber Dime, Nitecore tube light, Kershaw Natrix, Hellcat in kydex Knightfall Customs holster, Spare mag, Streamlight Microstream Flashlight. All sorts of keys, cell phone, Kershaw Shuffle, sunglasses, molded ear plug (I only need one).

Racing Psychosis

Those torch lighters are awesome. I have never been able to keep those Olight I3T lights to work, they suck, the tail caps always break, sent it back, they replace it breaks again, and again, trashcan. Replaced with Streamlight Microstream. Schmucketelli turned me on to that. The Microstream is awesome, the similar Olight sucks.

Cyborg009

This bag still looks very tactical. If you want to go full gray-man, get a Tumi shoulder bag.

Rusty Chains

I will check this bag out and pick up that very cool lighter. I am still using the 5.11 bag sized for a laptop, though the only thing in that pocket is a lvl 3A panel because I can and it is light. The bag is very low profile since even poor techies here in the Atlanta area carry them and I pulled off even the velcro patches. Still have my Nutnfancy blue OTF Lightning in it though, and I use it mostly to annoy the wife when I am bored!

RECALL

"I could be in a thong...." ...Do it Nutn, you won't... Pose with your BOK and EDC pushpack as if you're getting out of Dodge.

Bernal

A 511 belt with most of the weight being hung from my belt, and an untucked shirt works best for me. Very comfortable.

Phillip Robinette McKracken

I would love to see you do a gear check in a local prison... "Shiv, anyone got a shiv? 4"... that's impressive. That looks like it's made of shin bone... is it?" "You can put that away now, Mr. Sandusky. I already had a shower this morning, no thanks..." I use Right Guard with extra aloe to repair my dolls armpits. It doubles as a great lubricant. You only need about 2 oz of it in your ED-c...(grin). I don't do wipes or alcohol cleansing. Not worried about rsv. I can't even catch an RSVP. I ate a lot of dirt as a kid.

Greg Malcom

Love EDC vids!! Thanks. I would add a headlamp. So important to be hands-free.

Bluegill097

This was excellent! Very thought provoking

Clint Raby

I live in New Mexico and am always loaded for bear just in case I run into Nutn. Maybe someday

Rick Grad

Cool bag. I’m definitely one of the nerds that constantly loves the EDC vids.

Jason Boyles

I've used a triple flame lighter just like that to do a major solder repair job on an outboard boat motor. It turned out great. Lol

Chris Adkins

New TNP patch idea:. All the skissors. You're welcome.

Ben H.

Love the jet lighters so much better than standard ones. Very fun review. Lots of small light and capable items in that pack. I need to upgrade my light systems with some Olights.

William H

I carry a g43 and a juice on my key chain so I’m sure I’d fail the gear check but I still like these videos. I wear that ear protection for all outdoor shooting and it is great (except when you have guys shooting next to you in a tac drill, had to step off line).

WILLIAM MEYER

Hey Nutn, have a more parsimonious fire starter for you. The recipe I have will yield a fire starter for .22 cents with a burn time of around 2.5 minutes. 10 of these starters at 48g total. 54 mm wide x 3 mm thick. Just sayin'.

Gerald King

thanks nutnfancy for another cool video

Schmuckatelli

I still have the Microstream in my rotation, but most days I'm EDC'ing its big brother, the Macrostream. It's a brighter light (500 lumens) and has a longer runtime.

Schmuckatelli

Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude! Dude! Do another EDC video!

David Elkins

Not a fan of those type bags and just don’t see many benefits. It’s just a man purse. Not secure enough imo to stow a firearm in. Need to carry a bunch of crap? Book bag superior and doesn’t stand out as much as a man purse. And I almost never carry a pliers based MT. I keep one in vehicle and go bag just in case but hardly ever need pliers out of the blue.

Matthew Sinn

I use the pliers about as much as the knife on my Juice CS2. The skisssors definitely get the most use there.

Racing Psychosis

For my bigger light when needed I still use my Fenix PD35, normally in my jacket pocket or EDC bag. But I do pocket carry that Microstream its an awesome little light.

Gary Groeschke

Ahh the true core foundation of the Nutnfancy project edc ecstasy,, always hits the mark- great vid, God speed to you and yours!

Racing Psychosis

Hence my Gerber Dime, then I have some very light pliers for the very light duty if I do happen to need them which is not often that rides on my keychain and is relatively light weight and inexpensive.

Racing Psychosis

And if Nutn was to carry a Corvette, would it not be better for SAWC to go Hot Wheels or Matchbox???

Matt Melott

I’ve been thinking about going this route for when I go fishing, kayaking, and things like that. So I don’t have to carry IWB and have my pockets loaded down. It would be a good way to carry my EDC stuff and be able to wear basketball shorts or something like that.

Steve Feeser

I’m interested in the deep blue compass. I had one on my watch band from another maker and it was handy but broke pretty quick. The Peltors will be great for my wife she has significant loss in one ear. I’ll buy her a set. Thanks for a great video!!! Will a browning hi power fit in that concealed pocket???

Craig Tabor

I made mine with the Vertx Tourist. Very non-tactical look, but very similar.

Iowa Dave

No tourniquet? Maybe drop a knife and the stabby pens to free up room?

Zack Harris

FYI Sportsman’s has these 511 bags on sale for those interested… but too much stuff here Nutn. How many lighters?! 😂 prefer low profile sawc pocket based edc in lpac w a truck bag in reserve for emergencies. Ps the Gerber dime is a nice cheap little mt for key chain too.

hoplite ⚔️

Before becoming a TNPr I only carried a pen and a sharpie on me. Now I have a loadout that should pass a gear check. I have a fanny pack that rides with me if I leave the house. And my wife is bringing a multitool to work that saves the day often. Thanks to vids like this that helps us hone our own EDC systems.

Plumber Angelo

This kind of content gets me excited Nutn! Great work

Scott Nelson

Awesome, Hoplite! Honestly, I thought TNP was somewhat of a joke many years ago... Now it is my go-to for gear and adventure! Nutn has helped me spend a lot of money!!! He has helped me greatly with EDC. I used to just carry a knife (at the time, it was the only thing I could carry on me due to IL not having CCL at that time). Now I find myself carrying a slew of items. I never used to carry a flashlight - now I carry 2. Knives you may ask? Usually 3. Multitool is one thing that others may think I lack in - I carry a Gerber Dime but it works well for my purposes.

Joshua Pulliam

Loved the video! My carry today: Casio Protrek PRG-600, chapstick, Olight keychain light, Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Salt, Leatherman Wave+, Streamlight Pro-tac, Spyderco Paramilitary 2, and Glock 26 in a sweet Kusiak Leather holster.

hoplite ⚔️

Good post. That kinda Juice would be great. I really hope Leatherman does something new in that size. They seem to be asleep at the wheel for the last few years.

hoplite ⚔️

Gerber Dime seems like a great ultralight MT. I recall checking them out a while back and I think Nutn has a positive review on them. I carry a Leatherman Squirt on the daily. I find it takes care of 90% of the MT needs I have. They come in super handy fixing my kids toys. There is a Leatherman Charge in the fanny pack when a more capable tool is needed to fix something at work.

Steve Feeser

5.11 is having a sale right now!!!! 20% off for Presidents‘ Day!!

BVeck

This is too crazy Nutn. I bought this pack in early January! So I can carry way more stuff but still be convenient.

BVeck

And us Patreons I’m sure love the longer videos. Imo the longer the better.

Jonathon Hurley

I've been carrying a maxpedition pack that is very similar to this since 2006 for edc. If this holds us as good as the maxpedition pack it would serve someone well.

RD

Dude....Corvette content....Corvette content.....I want to see the GS again.

Aquanaut

My ol' lady uses one of those. She calls it a purse, though 😆

Daniel Herb

Great video Nutn, thanks for the update and some cool gear

Ryan P

I bought this bag recently. Only complaints are that it doesn’t have a grab handle, might make one out of paracord. If you carry a gun in this bag it causes the main pouch to bulge, reducing the space in there. Wish they made the CCW compartment thicker to allow for the width of the gun/holster. It also doesn’t hold its shape well due to the lightweight fabric. I added cardboard on the inside to stiffen the bag and now it’s much easier to get in and access loose items.
