Any time I hear Nutn’s radio announcer voice along with Doodle’s snark, I know it will be an entertaining review. 😉

Andrettski

Axe should get the reliability straightened out in the R & D Dept, before worrying about all the 'Dragon-esque' looks and features.

DuginIN

I was ready for a TNP Video. Good timing.

RECALL

That was painful to watch, only palatable with the TNP humor. Speaking of Glocks... Because of TNP I now am looking into either a Glock 17 or a 19. Never had 9mm in the house until my wife chose her carry gun. I always thought why double down, my Glock 22 satisfied the capability requirement. Now that we have 9mm in the house, it's just a "defense in depth" philosophy, able to switch to 9mm if a group I'm with is running it. Tending towards the Glock 17 due to my 22 is the same form factor, so will easily adapt into the holster systems already invested in. My brother and a friend have Glock 19's though and they are thrilled with them.. dilemmas dilemmas...

Porter3861

Awesome review! Couple questions, did TD say “Dragon Toe” as a possible name for the gun? Because that’s hilarious. Also, what’s the spray lube you used?

Jesse (Sphinx)

Love the Alpina in the field testing footage--looks like it has an inset seconds dial. Cool watch. Crappy Glock clone! People's boredom with Glock reminds me of their boredom with Honda..."it just works" isn't too entertaining I guess!

Andrettski

The TP9 series my be the best value line of pistols. Their new Rival just won back-to-back shooting titles.

kylenor

Another awesome review! Funny you mentioned Optics Planet, I just ordered a sight from them the other day. I do really want to try a Zev product one day, but you guys totally hit the nail on the head with the old police trade ins. I want a police trade in Glock 22.

Matt W Plank

Appropriate name, as it got “Axed.”

Downtrodden

I know we like affirmation for our gear purchases but if you could just roast bad guns with TD, that’s what we really need.

Racing Psychosis

Never heard of them. At least they got the stock sights right. I'll stick to the ugly Glock or the cheap Poly80. I wonder who is making the frame for them. Got to wonder if the stainless slide is galling. Looking at the cost on Rainier Arms its $699.95, NOPE, not interested. I do love the Gen 5 grips, and don't run any tape on my 5s. For Glock its just a Cordless Hole Puncher. Watch check, nothing bare arms, just a hairless monkey.

Racing Psychosis

A G19 is never the wrong answer, holster options galore. And a smaller guy, even I can conceal carry a G19. I do have a G22 and love it, but I can't conceal that in the summer time at all. And my TP9SF will out shoot it all day long, the downside is lack of holsters at this time from my favorite holster makers.

RECALL

Thanks for the info! Would you go 19, or 23? In college I got the 22, then a few months later a 27 for ammo and mag compatibility. Those two have been my GTW and CCW setup until late last summer when I went Hellcat for my CCW. So really another "duty pistol" of any choice discussed here would just be more depth and variety to the systems to allow for flexibility if needed. One of those purchases that doesn't "need" to happen.... but why not?

Andrew Baldwin

There's nothing in the firearms world less desirable to me than a gussied up Glock clone with a stupid name. Glad it was hideous. Glad it failed. Very glad TD was there to rag on it. Now if only a non-loctited screw had worked itself loose...

Racing Psychosis

The Hellcat is my goto CCW, it for me is like a mini G19. I would go G19 all day long over the 23. For me the Gen 5 is the best, but you'll find parts for a Gen 3 for probably the next 40 years. For you if you are already having the G22 and 27, you may want to go the 23 for mag compatibility. I also wouldn't hesitate on a conversion barrel with a 23 or a 22, I've put a couple thousand rounds through a quality 9mm conversion barrel, functions like the standard 17 or 19.

GrizzlyRising

At this juncture, the beaver cleaver will give Hi Point a run for its money. I'll stick with my Dagger...just in case.

RECALL

Good to know! You might have just tipped the scales for me, as I’ve been wondering about a barrel/mag conversion. Read on forums (shudder at the thought) that you’d have to replace extractor/ejector, some others say just run it with barrel and mag… don’t want to tear up anything internally on the 22 but if that’s not a factor I may go 23, then get a 9mm barrel and some mags and have a cheaper conversion. Still, for the GTW POU, it eases my mind having an all factory built complete system… but for now I think I have that covered in .40 cal. Thanks for your input and experience!

Plumber Angelo

Very interesting review! Bad dragon lololololol

Rick Grad

I really love the father/son reviews a lot. I’ve listened to the “First Guns You Should Buy” video a few times…just because it sounds like you guys truly enjoyed making that video. I hope you live to 100 Nutn…and I really hope Doodle meets a nice girl and has some kids some day. He would be a great dad.

Brad Fegan

The price is good in comparison to the other custom looking glocks. But not really a fan of how it looks myself. Too bad it had issues.

Harley

Looks like something from one of those cheesy Sci-fi channel movies.

David M Behsman

I just started watching the video, and noticed at the 1:35 to 1:36 mark that the slide really slowed down before it went into battery. Has anyone else noticed this? It's almost like the slide was hanging up on something.

duroSIG556R

Let's see how to improve the glock, --get a walther.

TRJ

I think it’s a requirement to have stretched earlobes and tattoos up your neck to buy this thing.

Elijah Ballard

I also have a BALDR on my G17. I have small hands and the finger grooves don’t fit my hands well. That being said I’m probably just a crappy shot and need to shoot more. Thanks for another great video!

Racing Psychosis

Even if it would happen to get it messed up, its easy to replace. Will it last like 10,000 rounds like my regular 9mm, who knows. If you have not done it before, you are not alone. A lot of people won't. Just buy yourself, a Lone Wolf Guide to Glocks, it talks about all of the current generations with complete parts lists and assembly / disassembly guides. Its well done. Which you get enough rounds in the gun you'll eventually change out parts depending on often you shoot or how long you own it.

Ol Retired Fed

Well obviously you over lubed the gun! All that oil slowed down the slide so much that it stuck open on every shot. You can't use summer weight oil, only multi-viscosity winter weight. You just don't know how to operate a single shot pistol. The only thing that would make it more attractive would be a nickel plated slide. So sad TD has no sense of humor.

cody white

Never heard of these guys as a manufacturer and so true on the beat up Glock. My first handgun was a Glock 19 gen 4 customized by a ex black water contractor that he used overseas. Still using it now still chugging. Simply get a Glock the record alone is the second cool

hoplite ⚔️

Listening to you two giggle over the Bad Dragon product line was hilarious.

hoplite ⚔️

Would like to know what the pilot watch you were wearing during the in field testing was.

Cheesewell

Gonna have to start circumcising my Glocks! 😆 🤣 Hilarious video, great content.

Micah G

I noticed that too

Bluegill097

Thanks for the watch check!

Rant rant rant! Love it.
