Throughly tested in both warm and cold conditions, here's the Nutnfancy review on the Burris BTS-35 (and 50) thermal scopes. A beloved company here, I had high hopes for this digital thermal imager. It provides clear images, has a single wheel UI (a bit frustrating), and long battery life. Sean the TNPr and I test it on a PSA AR10, giving it some realistic recoil testing as well. Tune in for another fun and truthful NOD review in the TNP Bunker. There are some surprises!

Burris Thermal Scopes: Cost Effective Thermal Weapon Scope?

this looks fun

Lack of recording is an automatic pass. Yeesh.

swing and a miss

Ol Retired Fed

That many bucks and the recording is crap. WTF? and NOPE.

The Nutnfancy Project

Exactly. I'll have some better options down the road. The links above show what they will be.

Phillip Robinette McKracken

So....ATn? I'm ok with that. I think the visual problems were from the Custer flange thermal cycling....I think it works better on reservations. Did you change the glow plug?

Andrew Gough

Couldn’t be happier with these two vids after recent hiatus. Thanks for excellent work and content.

I am still rocking the weaver you recommend. Thanks for the info Nutnfancy 👍 That was an interesting video. Basically, I am nowhere near buying one of those things. They are super cool, but it seems like the industry is lagging behind in quality, price and affordability. So… 🤷🏼

Trill review. Thanks for the honesty.

Onewizeguy

Thanks for the review Nutn! Yesterday I ordered the AGM Taipan from OP that you recommended. No more stalling these purchases and if it’s as cool (and practical) as it seems- NV will be next. Neighbors should love me rolling out the garbage bins at night wearing a tracksuit, donning NVG.

Joooosh

Those 4 pin connectors are actually pretty legit most Hemet mounted external nvg battery packs use those to power the Night vision device

Rick Grad

If things get weird, the last thing I want to do is be out at night unless I absolutely have to. Maybe one of those night vision monoculars so I can see the threat and run away.

Hold Fast Joe

Just wanted to mention when shopping around for best price try GunBroker. Saw a few vendors on there selling swampfox arrowhead scope you showed for $375-400. Pretty amazing site, use it while you still can!

Jonathon Hurley

I'd be interested in seeing a review of the AGM clip on you were talking about

Matthew Jantz

I have the AGM Rattler and have had great luck.

Downtrodden

Great info and thought provoking. You had a positive review on the ATN 4K (IR) but they also have thermal (Thor) scopes. I see these locally and they seem relatively affordable. Id love to do some airsoft night games.

J Ram

Stay Frosty!!!! lol....I just sent my son a text last night warning him about potential shenanigans this weekend in the downtown area and to "stay frosty"

Kody Agnoli

I can highly recommend the TC35-384. I was able to pick out a rabbit in a briar patch from ~160yds away on a recent outing. I've not had any issues swapping from one rifle to another, though it is unfortunately hard to find red dots which work well with how high the view screen is on the thermal.

Racing Psychosis

I have been looking at various thermals for varmints and hogs, watching various other reviews and such. The AGM is likely the way I'm going for entry level.

Harddog

It’s my understanding the recording and WiFi features is what run up the cost of thermal. I care nothing about recording. Give my a reliable zero and clear image, knock off several thousand dollars and I’m good!!
