A quick update on very nice improvements to the Perun Mini.  Not sure if TNPrs still want lighting reviews but since I spent money on these you get them! I'll taper them off in the future. But I'm still passionate about these cool little lights and this new Perun Mini 2 is even better now once again showing continual product improvement over at Olight.

I enjoy the light reviews FWIW as long as they are budget friendly. I never could justify spending big bucks on lights but it is good to know what is out there that is affordable and rugged.

Ace Invasive

I want more light reviews but not olight. Maybe streamlight? The olight warrior ADed and burned a hole on my jacket pocket and was recalled for overheating. I don't want to buy olights

Loki

Light reviews are great. I'm still trying to find a light that survives EDC pocket wear.

Ian McKechnie

I have an unhealthy relationship with flashlights...tnp review always welcomed!

Hoova101

Love this - I just bought one in an awesome looking Blue from their 16th Anniversary sale - comes in tomorrow!

Matthew Sinn

I love your light reviews. The only real issue I see is Olight does things so well these days that there's not a competitor that stands up to them as an alternative worth spending time on. Unless I suppose you're talking about a very niche corner case where some specific feature justifies the compromise of losing so many of the things Olight gets right. Also: "This is my safety"

Roarke O'BRIEN

I was just looking at one of these lights to clip to my kit for work. Thanks nutnfancy!

Powernoodle

One vote yes for the flashlight reviews. Lights were my first love, going back 30 years when a 60 lumen Surefire incan bulb (that had a 10 hour lifespan) was King. My current EDC is the excellent Olight Arkfeld with laser. Love the Olight magnetic charger. Nothing is easier. Peace.

Christopher Davis

Olight addressed that particular issue by issuing a recall for certain models, and adding an auto-dimming proximity sensor on subsequent ones. Sorry you had a bad experience, dude, but don’t let that keep you from giving Olight another shot. They make some really excellent stuff.

CBlaster 1

Just bought this and yeah I want light reviews. Olight 3S warrior and Xtar dive light/ other dive lights.

Christopher Davis

Always up for another light review, Nutn. Keep ‘em coming! 😁

Cheesewell

Just bought 4 lights on Olights 16th anniversary sale, if y'all missed out, I'm sorry, there was some sweet deals. Personally I enjoy the light vids.

CBlaster 1

Looking for a dive light that uses 2x 21700

Joshua Pulliam

I’m kind of in a rut with my lighting systems. Been carrying a Streamlight for awhile because my Olight keeps coming on in pocket. I just ordered an orange Baton 3 during the last sale. Maybe it’ll get me out of the rut.

Jonathan Owens

The more light reviews the better. Keep up the great work Nutn!

Harddog

I just found the Streamlight Wedge. It looks like a microtech knife. Sits in the front pocket well.

Jonathan Owens

Have you tried the Olight Arkfeld? I picked up the UV version about a month ago and love it. Has a lockout feature too so ya don’t burn your Underroos.

Justin Spears

Always enjoy the light reviews, especially Olight. I have bought so many the past three years it’s embarrassing lol. I also have nearly all the knives that they’ve produced, in most colors as well lol. I haven’t bought much from their new outdoor line of products at Obuy… I figure a lot of it is rebranded, but not sure.

Mark Horan

My EDC is the Arkfield Olight. When I loose this one, hopefully a long time from now, I’ll replace with the Perun (like smaller size). Still waiting for the CRF 300 Rally review. I’m in the middle of installing the Rally Raid shock on my CRF 300L right now. 300L does well on backroads and dirt roads, but not so well on freeway.

Peter Lynch

I like that you’ll geek out to a level of detail you will not often see most elsewhere. Not yet into lights at that level but baby steps.

Moe Mansour

I've been rocking the Olight H1 nova since 2016. To be honest, I like the Array better than the 18650 Perun. The battery weight is at the back. So, the emitter doesn't flop around every time you move.

Bernal

I am astonished that flash light videos are not more popular. I just can’t have enough flashlights around. Every system I have requires flashlights. Lately I have spent a lot of time setting up my music studio, constantly plugging in wires and reaching behind equipment. A tiny mirror and small flashlight makes annoying tasks so much easier! I have the Perun and the Perun mini. They are both totally awesome. My FENIX PD36R puts in plenty of work on a charge and never lets me down. I notice a lot of guys using Harbor Freight/Home Depot flashlights. They just suck, always have! You really get what you pay for with flashlights.

Trey

I kinda like the button being on top. It would probably help with accidental turning on in the pocket.

Joshua Pulliam

I’ve considered it. But my system is based on the 18650 batteries. Also the lights I have work well for my needs so I haven’t felt the need to upgrade. Maybe I’ll pick one up next flash sale and see how I like it.

Anthony Arnold

@ Bernal Flashlight videos are abundantly available on YouTube, and as popular as hand guns reviews. I've purchased hundreds of flashlights for a variety of applications too. Now lighting technology offers more choices at lower cost. I just purchased a USB rechargeable 3 light "mini" from Amazon made of Aluminum alloy, anti-drop and anti-pressure. IPX6 waterproof grade, 2200mAh battery capacity. The center light is 1000 lumens, and 2 side lights that rotate. It measures 5.75x 2.36inches and weight: 195g. All these power packed features for about $20 bucks US. Oh, and by the way the rechargeable battery is included!

Casey Jones

Yes more flashlights, lanterns, off grid lighting options

pinetree89

Really enjoy the light reviews and have since the very beginning. A lot of the youtube reviews are flashlight geeks that just spew the data. But I enjoy your real word use cases and reporting how they hold up. You really were there in the beginning years of the LED flashlight revolution.... mounting those early Fenix's as WML's and putting them to test. I bought an LD-20 after your review of it years ago and it has been a trusty companion for years. Please keep up the light reviews.

bcbrin

You can never have too many flashlights. As I get new lights, older models just rotate into different bags, systems, and kits.

Matthew Hargis

I love the flashlight reviews. If it was up to me I would say keep rolling them out. Also, Hoot told Capt Steele right, “Well this is my safety, Sir!” Which Steele replied, “You Delta boys are a bunch of undisciplined cowboys.” Great movie. Thanks Nutn! -Sharkey

Greg Malcom

I bought that light strictly because i could clip it to my shirt. It sits in my fanny pack. It was great during a flight to Europe because of the moonlight mode (which isn't too bright when folks are sleeping).

CincinnatiDan (Ohio)

“Don’t need no more flashlight”… you sound like my wife. Come on now, Nut’n.

Dusty Sabedra

Great review. Thank you for sharing this. On my list!

Lee

Definitely like lighting reviews.

PATRICK C BUBB

Yes Nutnfancy, we like Flashlight reviews... just don't like admitting it!!! The Streamlight ProTec 2LX with a 3200 rechargeable is my all-time favorite EDC FL ... I have been wanting to try/switch over to OLight for some time... this might be the one I try...

DACampbell

Well that explains why I got a good deal on the Perun Mini (prev version) on the Olight site a couple months ago. It is a great product even with the velcro headstrap. I like the way the clip is used on the headstrap on V1 as it is integrated instead of taking it off and storing it. Keep the FL reviews coming!

Patrick Richards

So many lights…. But I love them. I’m bummed the knife hasn’t sold out yet! I want another special edition! We were spoiled for a while, it seemed like every month we’d get another special edition! Can we please have a hint at what and when the next one will be Nutn?

Red dog 1

This is my safety. Black hawk down. I don’t know that patch existed

Downtrodden

The Olight i5R EOS is my favorite EDC light by far. I keep Warrior 2’s on my bedside table and in various systems but that i5R lives in my pocket. It’s light enough to work well on a hat brim but still has some firepower. It’s so small there’s no excuse to not carry one.

Downtrodden

I just ordered another because that knife is so fun.

Jake Haberman

Love the light reviews! Guys are just stuck on using crappy AAA lights that can't throw more than 10 feet.

Andrettski

Buy when they have the BIG sales events. They just had a 16th Anniversary sale, buy 3 or more take an additional 40% off, hell-uh deals.

Rocky Meredith

Nutn, LOVE the flashlight reviews, keep 'em coming. Just bought a Warrior 3S, now is one's on my list. Thanks dude!

Andrettski

Just got a bundle Perun Mini (blue) + i5R EOS (blue), Baton 3 Pro (white), Arkfeld UV (green), 2 Obulb Plus (w/ 2 Olinks), the 4-way Cyber cyan charging station, with a free gift and tier gift. I've only ordered the 'clear white'

Andrettski

Last sale I got the Mini Marauder and must say, it is FANTASTIC. The spot and flood throw are just amazing. I'm a 'Flash-aholic' NUTN.

Colostomybag

I would love some surfire reveiws, like the stileto and the new turbos once they come out.

hoplite ⚔️

I’m pro more flashlight reviews. New olight box arrived today!

Bluegill097

I am down for some flash light reviews. Just bought one of these during their anniversary sale for a fishing trip in June. Excellent. “This is my safety”

Mobius

First time commenter, voted for lighting in the recent poll. Well timed and good review. Ordered one as I was in the market for a headlamp, that said I know when nutnfancy can't stop talking about it outside of reviews it's worth picking up.

Andrew Helsel

Been using the Perun mini with headband forever. Working on cars, cleaning or building boomsticks, finding crap, whatever. It's the most used light in my house besides the i5t

Jesse (Sphinx)

I just got a Cloud Defensive MCH and a Chicro. First high-end handhelds I've bought in a while. According to one rewiewer, Ho Lee Schit, the US-made MCH has mind boggling flood and throw, and I can confirm is it now my favorite light for scanning the rural property at night. I also like that it came with screw in button shrouds for the tail cap to minimize turning on in pocket. Body is a little slick-sided, but 3M stair tread tape fixed that. Even the little china-made Chicro that they threw in for free with the MCH is 350 lumens in a AAA light size! Both are rechargeable, and the MCH is dual fuel (18650 or 2x CR123s).

Sanguine Potato

I have carried a Fenix PD-35 Tac for years, it's a great light and I love the 18650 with built-in charger. Lasts me a month between charges.

HappyFrancisMacomber

I think we need a update on flashlight technology and POU in today’s clown world with special guest tactical doodle

Alex H

The nightcore NU25 is a cool lightweight headlamp I think alot of guys would like. I use it as a backup to my olight on hunting, canoeing and backpacking trips.

Alex H

I broke two of my backup pitzel headlamps so I was looking for something else and found nightcore to be a little more durable.

Tim Bone

Nutn...would you be willing to take some of your OLights scuba diving as a torture test? (Fun Fact: DO NOT take MagLights scuba diving...they will be destroyed past 10 feet. Ask me how I know.)

Josiah Pierce

i love the lighting reviews! keep em coming
