50 BMG is like a boat, I'd never buy one but hope a friend or family member has one. 🤣

Steelhorses

Hell yes! It is extremely expensive though

Zambini

Hell. Yes.

Ben H.

Long over due thank you nutn!

NatvMan

Just don't pull a Kentucky Ballistics

Not SAWC

I am excited that it is 50 BMG. I am not excited that it is not cost effective or SAWC compliant

B05T0N22

It’s entertaining; but I have no desire to integrate it into my systems.

Patrick Brichta

What the hell, never will buy one, but should be fun

BadgerTails

With a side of 50 AE please. SIDEBAR: Never has there been a time in MY life wherein a "battlefield pickup" might be a BMG, and needing a quick tutorial like this may be necessary recall/retrieve in next 5 years. Drive on LT! [ ...or is it Capt?]

TechNeck

i never made the jump from .338 lm to .50 bmg. now that its banned in canada (fuckin libtards) i regrete not pulling tge triger on a rifle. i had a ton of fun firing it in the army.

DavidB

absafreakingloutely

1SG Samuels

not interested at all... SAWC for life

Z-non

If your going to go to Dubai levels of absurdity, why not 20mm? There was a company in Montana making a 20mm rifle. IIRC just as stupid expensive as these 50's

Seeker Keyl

Only for the entertainment and the rants which are sure to come!

Moe Mansour

Lets hope C-21 gets scrapped.

Elijah Ballard

Maybe you can incorporate some long distance shooting 101 content also.

DudeDudeDude

No practical POU for most folks. Costs and SAWC non compliant IMO. Others looking for attention have covered the subject like a dead horse.

Casey Jones

I’m interested bc it’s a stone that’s been left unturned. I don’t expect a bunch of .50bmg gun reviews, but one or 2 would be fun. But def a POU vid on one would be nice

Daniel Johnson

Can’t wait to watch you tear some stuff up!

Sgt Sly

That’s a no from me. It’s an interesting topic, but serves little practical application at the moment. 2nd Kind of Cool set aside. Please note; I’m not saying it has *no* practical application. But there is literally tens of thousands of dollars that should be spent on more useful items before .50 is even considered. And I’d include a couple pairs of PVS-14s in that. Most guys will never have the money to buy one PVS-14, and so .50 never even enters into consideration in my opinion. I wouldn’t waste the time, money, and effort on something 99% of your audience could never earnestly use. Save the .50BMG content for the gun channels that are about entertainment. It serves little purpose in a gear review channel.

Chris Kalla

If only I could afford .50BMG - gun or ammo!

Colostomybag

It would be cool to see a video on the POU. Why get one over a 338? In my op the 338 does so much more and is lighter weight. 50s are mostly crew supported which would not be practical for civies. If I was looking at a 10k 50bmg I would just buy night vission. Whats the POU?

GarageJim_RMB

I would rather see Patreon donations go towards high value equipment and reviews. Maybe some giveaways, the bunker has got to be getting pretty full.

Fiord dweller

Yes! We can't own 50 bmg here in Norway. We can own most other calibers, but this one I guess was too powerful.

Tim Bone

Yes. 1.) Because you have the environment (long stretches of Utah desert) to show the potential of the .50BMG platform (and we trust your opinions on the practicality...and negatives which few GunTubers are able to show). 2.) Street-gangs and robbery crews are using Level IIIA and Level III body armor now. All that gear we left behind in Afghanistan is gonna make it onto American streets sooner or later. A 50 rifle is feared for a reason. I'll leave it at that...

Rick Grad

Sledgehammer with the 50. Suspect, Doodle and Nutn. That would be awesome.

Revelation1

Communist Illinois doesn't allow .50 BMG either at least at this time... so almost voted "No" but what if maybe some day this junk gets overturned... and I mean I know it will be entertaining to watch.. so heck... I'll love it.

Ben Wagner

You already have a .338 lapua. Much more practical and affordable. Here in PA every range I’ve ever been to has forbidden 50 BMG because of the noise.

DudeDudeDude

Gotta run the trench drill if you do.

Scott K

Hey Nutn. Thoughts on taking the free tax stamp on SBR’s

Aceman1126

At about $4/per round its not that insane really... there's much more expensive stuff out there in the long range game. And if you reload it can be fun for like $2/rnd

Aceman1126

It's a trap. Just take the damn brace off and wait a year or 2 for it to be overturned.

Aceman1126

I'm 100% excited about the 50. I'm surprised it hasn't come up before honestly. You're in one of the few places it can be used effectively. Of course the role it can play is limited but man... something about that big ole 50 makes everyone smile

Mr. Bill

I'd watch it, but have no interest in owning or shooting one.

John Turner

I'd own one but I'm still struggling to buy eggs and petrol for my family.

Aaron K

I voted: NO. There is nothing that I could afford about any 50 BMG. I can't even afford the high powered glass, that I would need for the ultra long range shots & that could handle the recoil & abuse.

Jerome J

🎉🎊💯

Joshua Mount

Would it be cool to see yeah but personally I don't think 50s are that cool. They are too heavy to really be man portable. Yes you can carry them but your not walking a few miles with it. They are insanely loud, expensive to feed, hard to suppress, and heavy as crap. From my experience to with some friends that have a Barret m82. They aren't accurate either. The best I've seen with good ammo is 2 MOA. Most are using M33 ball ammo and if you use that it's like a 3 to 4 moa rifle. To me personally it's more of a novelty than anything. You'd be much better suited investing that money into nightvision and give yourself a far more useful tool.

Mini Me

.50 BMG should excite every TNP 😉

shoxroxice

Negative - I see 50 BMG as a novelty, too expensive to even operate.

Thor Allen

I would be more excited for a 300 winchester magnum review. One of the largest practical calibers IMO. Something I can afford and have the energy to carry. Magazine fed precision bolt gun for target practice and hunting. Every time I look at what's on the market I get option overload and can't tell what the difference between spending 700$ and 1700$.

Nigel USA

I *probably* would never buy one, but I want to know all about them. A lot of the current content doesn't approach it from Nutn's point f view and would likely determine if I even consider buying one in the future. I mean, it isn't practical by any means for the average person, but for a real enthusiast or collector it is good to know.

BadgerTails

My Browning M-1000 Eclipse was pulled from a used rack in Gander Mountain. Hard to go wrong with any Browning really. How are you leaning? Have you looked at Bergaras? I just grabbed one of their 6.5 PRCs and it's incredible.

Andrew Gough

338 Lapua always interests me, but nutn has done a number of these vids over the years. PoU on 50s is interesting imv

Bernal

“A good big one is always better than a good little one”🤷🏼

Paul Scheffel

.50 BMG is forbidden at my outdoor range, so I'm out as a consumer. But, for fun, I guess I'd watch Nutn and family at the bench launching 600+ grain brojectiles down range.

BilboCarter

2KC aside, I'm interested to see the perspective on this.

A.A.A.

Just sold my Barrett.

A.A.A.

‘The ranges around won’t allow 50’s because of the

A.A.A.

morons destroying target frames with it and ricochet.

Andrew Gough

Am in Canada and 50 is now off the table. PoU of why 50 over 338 would be an interesting point.

Guy Actual

Yep... But not for the reasons most think.

Brettano

Was that the CS Gun?

Paul Griech

smith and wesson 500 in 3” please lol

Jeff Freeman

I think it'll be fun, though I watch Demo Ranch so I get plenty of it already.

BadgerTails

OK, just watched a YT vid with " 10 best 50BMGs ", I had no idea there are that many building 50s now....here we go!

David R Benkendorf

May watch, but practically speaking, got no use for them. To be honest, I don't watch near as many gear reviews as I used to because after much trial and error, I settled on what I like and quit chasing the next thing as a matter of efficiency, practicality, finances, and a desire to simplify and minimalize, which makes me happier. Don't need anything else in many regards (but in other areas I'm still behind the curve and I check that content out in the interest of one day getting that squared away too) and don't want to get interested in more. I do Patreon as a matter of principle. There are many fine channels, but this is so far the only one I support in this way. I have a particular sentimental or whatever you'd call it attachment to TNP. Very formative to me, I guess you'd say.

Rippert

Potential POUs of the 50 BMG -Engine killer -SAPR on steroids (ability to take shots well above 500 yards) -LARP CoD in real life Either way can’t wait

Christopher Wooten

I’d like to see a long range pros and cons video that compares .50 BMG to .338 Lapua, and 300-378 Weatherby, and 300 WinMag. You’re welcome. If you need any more ideas for simple and easy videos let me know and I’ll help you out. 😆

Andrettski

Yes, but only if you actually do some shooting with one. It's a pipe-dream for me to ever own one much less even get to shoot one.

Andrettski

Gotta include Sean, Jardine and Wyatt as well.

Joseph Hoffman

Too expensive of a round so there is no reason for me to own any.

TireManTim

Well.....no. Never expect to buy one, or even shoot a 50. But, I will have fun watching your vid Nutn!

Publius Cato

Only interested in 50bmg stuff if you have the ability to demonstrate what the 50 is actually GOOD for. 1/2" holes in paper ain't gonna cut it.

David Englehart

Always excited for TNP gun content and insights from my favorite modern day philosopher 🙂
