The last time the Sig Cross made an appearance in TNP it had an epic, dangerous fail. The company executed a recall on the rifle from that Nutnfancy video, no thanks given. They said I had "tampered with the gun" and yet they did the recall. Hmmm. I don't think they would have ever spent the $100,000s in doing that if the gun was correct! Mic drop.

Anywho that's ancient news and now we're gonna see if the gun can do better. This is a Gen 2 with the improved, safer trigger. I've had TNPrs ask for more long range and now with this M62-provided setup, that can happen more easily.

Our distance is 900 yds, the wind is up, the load choice is awful for the task at hand (I hadn't even shot it), and I've got no spotter. Whatever, let's get busy and make some conclusions. I think you'll like seeing the rounds track to the target via the Swarovski STM 80 spotting scope GoPro setup.

Sig Cross Redemption? Nutnfancy Long Range

I still cannot believe that Sig let that original rifle out on the market. They seem to be too worried about getting stuff out there over making sure everything is good to go these days.

The Hide

Awesome cant wait to watch this one!

Shot442

You’re way too nice to Sig considering

The Nutnfancy Project

Yeah their aholes but I just serve my audience, you guys. That's my allegiance and having good products like this helps your systems

Hold Fast Joe

Short story: I haven't shot anything above 223 for years, can't afford it. Got a 6.5 creed semi auto to try out last week. I got a zero at 100 and my range has 10inch plates at 400. Dialed up +33 clicks (1/4 moa each) and ring ring ring on a bipod! Creedmore is a great round. It was jarring, I've been using nothing but 22LR past 6 months plus. I think it's a testament to the caliber can jump from 22 to 400 yard 6.5 and get hits in just a dozen rounds spent getting the zero set. I am not used to any recoil at all so I used every bit of that 10 inch plate but boy I had it swinging! Creedmore is excellent

Btw great review, timing was perfect got to watch it tonight. Nice job in those conditions! 900 yards is a very long ways

Todd

Real world testing = “tampering “? Ok Sig. Thanks for doing their QC Nutn!

Anthony Schaad

Sweet video Nutn!! Just getting in a bit of long range myself… so far only out to 500yrds tho. Bought a Bergara HMR 6.5 creed and it is sweet… took 2 deer with it this past season! Just saving up for a better scope ( primary arms 3-18 ) , can’t wait lol. Anyway love the project as always Nutn! Hope Sig gets there crap together!

Justin Wingerter

Was just asking for bolt guns the other day!! Let's see if it actually works this go around and dosent just crack rounds off on it's own! I guess we will see what "the curse of the desert" has in store for sig today. Thanks for all the hard work nutn! Would still love to see a DD delta 5 or delta 6 pro review. Keep up the exceptionalism and support of our wonderful 2nd Amendment!!!

DL

Cool review, thanks for doing it! 900 yards, that was pretty good. Your original review was good too, was very helpful; I don't care what Sig says, I really appreciated seeing the the test results. The cross is pretty cool. The trigger issue was a disappointment, though.

Justin Wingerter

Amazing hits at 900! Glad Sig finally fixed their shit!

The Nutnfancy Project

Thank you DL, I agree on all accounts about Sig. It's still a great gun, highly rec'd

The Nutnfancy Project

Oh man, well done Anthony. It's hard to find a range this long usually. I have done a fair amount on public lands but it became harder after Covid esp. We would have fools come and set right up in front of our shooting (.50 BMG no less!). 6.5 is a legit deer cartridge too.

Clint Raby

Really like this rifle. I've been wanting to get a precision rifle in 6.5 but I'm going to wait to see what else you come up with just cuz sig is so aholish, that was wrong what they did to you.

Rick Grad

Rifle looks beautiful with the new color. A friend has the 308 version, it’s impressively lightweight. Great vid.

BadgerTails

YES! Just got off the 300WM for a 6.5PRC from Bergara, the B-14 Wilderness HMR. Somehow, I found a ton of the Norma in PRC from some outfit in TX, not the whitetail but another in 143gr IIRC.. Not the greatest but the Norma brass sets re-loading standards, fire formed for zee sniper distance loads. Love it! Great works! Drive on!

Chris Kales

Nice watch Nutn! That blue is sharp.

Tygre

So many Sig products have been released with major problems in the last ten years, that I have very little confidence in the company at this point. YMMV

William H

900 yards. That's extra-long range! Good shooting.

kylenor

Nice! I love the Cross rifle!

Bluegill097

Love seeing the long range because I have no ability to do it myself so it’s just cool to watch and get mental reps… I guess that’s better than nothing! Appreciate the watch mention, we are always wondering lol. Look forward to more long range stuff so I can dream about my system some day

Robert Avery

Damn fine shooting Sir. 🤌

The Nutnfancy Project

Dreams become reality my friend. Start asking around your neck of the woods and you might be surprised what you find there. Thanks for the comment BG

Joshua Pulliam

Man I wish I had somewhere to shoot at those distances! Furthest we can shoot here in SW Missouri is 300 to 400 yards. Not enough public land. And too many hills and trees. Took down a buck at 300 yards last deer season with my Remington 700 chambered in .270 Winchester. That’s pretty much max range here. Most shots are going to be 100 yards or less. Especially if you’re in the woods. This was a cool vid format. I had a good time watching! Oh and that’s a sick watch!

Paul Griech

i will stick with my Rem 700 magpul in 308

Racing Psychosis

Where I am in Wisconsin, its literally 150 yards in most areas, in the woods under 100. I've been using a 357 Mag Henry that I will max out at 60 yds and in. Also been using 150gr in my 300BLK, awesome AR deer rifle definitely more range. And also a 44 Mag Henry as well out to about 100 yds.

TNSheep

Nutn, the new element Theos is available now as well. These things are killer. Got to see them last year when was filming with Matt Dubber, who works with element, so he had one on his rig. it was outstanding.

The Hide

Old school TNP content right here.. Love it!! Keep up the good work Nutn!! This really has me rethinking the SIG cross now...

The Hide

I reviewed a few of the Element-Optics scopes on my channel and have been super impressed. Especially when you get into their Titan line..

Bret Smith

I love the Caddyshack reference…😂

Darrrn

I just bought one in camouflage a week ago. A razor 4.5-22 lht just showed up today. I only put 2 rounds through it at 25 yards to get the scope close. Looking forward to playing with it.

Mike J

More long range!

Adam Y

"I almost said shit but I said crap" *high fives self* 😂😂 love it

Josh Mullins

Got to look through one a few weeks ago at a long range class. It's definitely an awesome scope, and I'd never heard of them before. I don't remember the exact reason, but the guy got his Theos 6-36x56 from Optics Planet for like $2.1k-$2.2 somehow. Once he knew his wind call he went 5/5 at 1,000 yards with his Delta 5 Pro (6.5cm). The mirage was horrible that day, but that scope was noticeably better than my Viper PST Gen II at that distance and conditions.

TNSheep

That was one of the big deals that Matt was seeing when he was doing some testing on it. The heat mirage was greatly diminished. Optics in general out there are just insane to keep up with. Getting to work in the gun industry now, I get to see so many different optics and scopes and... I'm just blown away. It's not even possible to really keep track of what's good and what's not anymore. There are some fantastic cheap scopes out there, there are some top level mid price scopes out there, and there is still the big dollar glass scopes too. But now days you can drop 1200-2k on a scope and get results of a 8k+ scope and its fantastic. There is just no way for nutn to keep up with any of this now days. I'm engrossed in it from MFG's, and I just look at the material and ... my brain shuts off. hahaha

Matt Scott

Any one tried the AAC 6.5 creed? I saw it on PSA recently. Looks like they have a generic 140 OTM and a sierra bullet option.
