Dudes seem to like it when I showed the Kubota M62 in action with my friend "Wolfman." Here's a bit more. This is my unit...it's only taken me 15 years of doing TNP range work in getting this setup! It controls fire hazards, digs gun trenches, digs diversionary ditches (flooded this year), lifts heavy stuff, hauls my railroad timbers we shoot up, and like here makes new range bases for targets. I"ll start off with drag harrowing in the area. With the big water year we've had, weeds can get real high in this location.

They're green now but dry out soon and can catch on fire with a spark.  Then we'll go up "Coyote Ridge" and make a new place for an IPSC target. This we'll be the long range bullet landing place I've wanted for a long time here. It will be cut into the hill, fuel removed, and will a good dusty backdrop to spot misses. I'm not an expert in the Kubota M62 use but I learn quick. It's a strong versatile machine that gets much work done. Come on along for a rare episode of Nutnfancy Dirt Ops!

M62 Kubota: Range Work

Have had a BX25 on our 20 wooded acres here in Vermont for 14 years... everything from firewood, grading, brush hogging, ditching and blowing snow to dragging deer outta the woods. There have definitely been times where I wish I had opted for something larger (thats on the way soon) but have never regretted the brand choice. Enjoy it.

The Nutnfancy Project

Great machine for sure. I love that BX25, super versatile as you note, compact easy to store. What's the next one you're getting?

Justin Wingerter

Putting in hard work for the long range shots, cant wait to see some new bolt gun reviews making some long range hits!

The Nutnfancy Project

That's what this setup is for: a turn key long range setup that I don't have to arrange every time. What bolt gun do you want reviewed btw?

Todd Strelka

This is awesome! Fun with tractors and heavy equipment is always appreciated. I enjoy the diversity of content in TNP.

squealer

Sure beats operating the wrong end of a shovel.

Justin Wingerter

I'd really like to see a review of the daniel defense delta 5 in 6.5!

Scott Dunn

You now own a private range? Always great new fun with TNP. Can’t wait for more. Where do you store the machine?

Rob Miller

I think this content resonates with TNP’rs because it highlights how through work we may improve our situation.

Rob Miller

Non reloading TNPrs might like to see how a Rem 700 in 308 can get half moa with factory loads. Most u need to do to it is a new trigger and a better stock. Suppressed helps results as well but I suspect many have a can they can toss on. Mid range glass (fixed powers are cheaper) and u have a legit 900 yard gun.

Justin Wingerter

Also, Nutn can you do a review of that vortex spotting scope you have that I've seen in many videos over the past few years!!!

Rob Miller

Its on a friends property who allows him to shoot on it.

The Nutnfancy Project

Rob Miller is correct: this is Wolfman's property and he gives me full access. He's got about 700 acres. He's a good friend too.

The Nutnfancy Project

Amen Rob. It takes a bit of vision then get to work. Work brings good things to our lives, thanks much.

Ol Retired Fed

Not enough time with the Tonka toys as a child. Everybody loves to tractor around on the range. No backhoe attachments available though when I had a tractor. All we had was a post hole auger and shovels.

Justin Wingerter

In all honesty it doesn't seem like the 700s need all that much work to be accurate. The one nutn reviewed a couple years ago, while not being 308, was damn accurate out of the box!

Justin Wingerter

I'm very interested in philosophy of using a spotting scope compared to the vortex binos you reviewed a little while back. Is one potentially better when trying to spot long range accuracy or make scope adjustments?

JFire

Another awesome video my son enjoyed. Thanks!

Rob Miller

This content is also awesome because you are not good at it. But you will be! We all need to try new things. I started BJJ last year at 55. I suck but its awesome. I train every week. My son & I also shoot in diff matches: IDPA, Bowling Pin, Military Rifle, Rimfire Bench rest, Police Pistol Combat, Sporting Clays, etc etc. We get crushed by the pros, but we also have taken our share of Firsts. The key is to enjoy life & get out of your comfort zone & grow as an awesome human.

Rob Miller

Agree! For hunting or under 400 yards they are fine out of box. MOA is awesome but when you start talking about approaching 1,000 yards like he is here…then sub 1/2 MOA is super handy. You still have wind, ammo accuracy and shooter ability to stack on top of the guns potential.

Chris Kales

Thanks for the heavy machinery vid Nutn - mesmerizing! About two weeks ago I rented a bulldozer and Cat 299D3 forestry mulcher to clear a few acres of land for a farm, range, and home site in Virginia. The mulcher was easy to use and did a great job, but it was definitely a challenge using a bulldozer to properly grade land having never done it before. All in all, thanks for the vid. It's just fun tractoring around and getting some work done in the process.

Joseph

I like the old man tractor content, it’s actually way cooler than you think it is. The government hates us being independent, growing gardens and shaping the land more than us having guns, but guns are what stands in the way

Rob Miller

I’ve never commented so much on one video! Anyway…look into a bolt on tooth bar for the FEL….if U don’t already have one. Game changer for digging.

Jordan Parker

I need some Nutnfancy Dirt Ops gear. TD, is that a possibility?

The Nutnfancy Project

Indeed. It's a new area to conquer and challenge myself. Not sure how often I'll be digging but I'll look for reasons! You cracked that code too with your shooting Rob, well done (esp. with your son)

The Nutnfancy Project

"...but it was definitely a challenge using a bulldozer to properly grade land having never done it before." Exactly. There's some TNPrs here in Patreon that have real heavy equipment experience and they're the experts. To get real good at such things you have to do it as a job or at least similar. BTW I watched some of Caterpillar's YT videos and they have they're dozers, excavators, graders equipped with GPS grading. Set it up, then the machine limits depth and practically does it. Extra $$ access of course.

The Nutnfancy Project

They do indeed hate all this independent living. If they ever come out to these parts to to harass us they will be met with surprising force. All people in this area feel this way, not just me.

The Nutnfancy Project

That would be a fun shirt bro. TD sadly is broken, not a reliable source anymore. But if I can't make it happen I will.

Green Mountain Boys

The L5060, should be here in July... need something stout enough to run a logging winch... would love an enclosed cab, but they don't go well with logging. Stay well!

Rob Miller

Not saying this is the best brand…but u get the idea.

A.A.A.

It’s not a Boeing but driving that Kubota is a proverbial kick in the shorts!!

kylenor

Nice tractor. I work in the natural gas industry and run excavator everyday. We have a bunch of Cat backhoes too with clamshell buckets and extend a hoes which I run seldom. I always say they are a jack of all trades master of none. They are perfect for this application!

Joe Neyman

Love the content! More Dirt Ops!

David Elkins

Nuttn has a 4x4 tractor now….it’s go time!
