TacticalDoodle and I are teaming up in this IISA episode, feature length! We will introduce you to the super cool F2A Brewster Buffalo, discuss it a bit, and then get down to business. The KT P3AT was ground breaking really and it started a whole genre of super lightweight carry pistols. Some of these later generation guns make an appearance and will get mini reviews here too. We remind you of the history of the P3AT here in the Project and I'll show some of my "vintage" video testing it. Then we'll go to the range and do some fresh shooting and answer the all-important IISA question!  This review made possible by donors.

Nuts, how about a little video on some top BOK watches, preferably ones that are readily available and some automatic movements options.

JARMYSTRONG

These IISA videos are not only great content, but they provide proof of consistency for channel philosophy.

Aceman1126

LCP = lil copy pistol 😂 Love keltec. 2nd pistol I ever got was a p11 and it was innovative too

David Gaines

Love this series! It’s so great to revisit the gear TNP was built on and see how the same principles ring true.

Aceman1126

Lol the beretta thumbnail!

The Nutnfancy Project

Thanks Jason and yep. They will cover past philosophy and tie into new technology. We had fun doing this one too.

The Nutnfancy Project

Hello David! Indeed it's fun to see how far we've come, apply the new principles to the new tech.

The Nutnfancy Project

Yep, that's just what the video chose so I went with it ha ha. Thats part of the video too

Aceman1126

I know you love the jet fire. Maybe that can get an iisa one day. I have a 21a and like it but there are some downsides and it shows its age these days. Thick frame and horrible sights and worst of all no extractor but dang I still love it hahaha just cool to have a tiny baby beretta

Aceman1126

Thanks for making my lunch break at work kick ass! This whole series gives me old school tnp vibes. The owl is on the shed! Lol

I've wanted one for years, and just never gotten around to getting one. I got my wife a walther ppq 380 in tiffany blue for her birthday. (Her choice, and one of thousands of reasons I love her.) Thus far the PPQ has been a joy to shoot. It has a great trigger and easy recoil. Its offered in 9mm too, and i imagine its a bit more snappy as the spring in the 380 is very light.

Todd Strelka

I love the IISA videos. I need to get a Ruger LCP II so bad.

Chris Kalla

I, for one, would love to hear some "insider info" from companies like Kel-Tec. Specifically with Kel-Tec - what they have done / are doing to improve reliability. Or where can we find a SU-16C.

Matthew Hargis

Fantastic series. Love the video. I’m right there with you Nutn and Doodle. LCP2 was my wife’s carry gun until the LCP Max came out then she upgraded and now I use the LCP2 as a deep conceal, mailbox, and/or house carry gun. The Shield plus is my normal carry gun. You guys did a solid with going with a Davidson’s exclusive in FDE. Let me tell you that ankle and IWB the LCP2 caused the gun to rust here in Louisiana. Definitely can be called a Rusty Ruger. No fret though…a Tungsten cerekote job on the slide with a painted orange front sight sets the gun off and helps eliminate the rust problem. Thanks again from a 12 year TNP member…Lt Col Sharkey

Andrew Baldwin

IISA is still my favorite series. Pitting older guns against their more modern competition makes much more interesting Gun TV than yet another Glock copy or black rifle. Add Doodle and it's perfection.

Seeker Keyl

Came for the review, stayed for the legendary Tactical Doodle.

I have the same pant clip on my P365, love it. Never had a problem with it. I carry it all day every day!

Rogue Weasely

I've fallen in love with the regular LCP 380 recently. I've been drooling over a max for a few months now...

Downtrodden

I carry a P365 every day…except when I go running. I occasionally run with it but it’s a little heavy clipped into my shorts (obv no belt). I’ll get a belly band but what is the modern ultimate “running carry?”

Christopher B.

Another comparative option might be the S&W Sigma .380. The zinc alloy slide will probably disintegrate after 2k rounds. I probably shot mine 200 times total since 1995. It's laughably hard to hit anything with but it fits in the pocket nicely.

Mark Hodges

Gunnies is having a 9mm case sale. Picked up two cases CCI Blazer 124gr for ~$239 each.

BadgerTails

My IDF Barbie has a PAIR of P3ATs in shoulder holsters!!! She's rockin!

Shadeslinger

Keltec PF9 still part of my summer carry rotation 👍

kylenor

I still want to buy an LCP MAX, but honestly I have so many good 9mm carry guns and I like to stock 9mm ammo and I don't really want to stock up on .380 for the money it's commanding. Another great IISA!

JIMY

It’s the LCP Max

JIMY

As much as I love the IISA series, I really want to see a video of Doodle colorizing those magazines

Matthew Sinn

I carry my LCP Max daily, with appreciation for its KelTec ancestry.

LesIsMore

On Sunday I carry my LC9S Pro (Hickcok 45 beat ya to this one), usually grab my LCP2 (not Max) the rest of the week (also Hickok I think he beat you to both). Many of my others came on your recommendations. G17g4 Home defense at night and occasionaly I will grab my LCR357mag at home although I haven't had the opportunity to fire but 5 38 spcl since I bought it about 6 months ago. The LCP3 Max is a dream $ for me as is the G43X. I have a G26g3 but it is a little too thick for iswb and the I can't get the Galco Classic light I bought to fit comfortably if this Central Fl. weather. Still "On the Shed" though. Keep'm Come'n, go USAF.

Mike

Great vid love the revisit on such an impactful tool.

Aaron Carrington

Great to see Doodle make an appearance!! Kel-Tecs weapons are always interesting. Love’em or hate’em.

Chris Marchi

Great video. Always good to see TD.

Chris carr

Time to invest in the Fanny pack

Paul Griech

My gramma carried the tomcat in 32acp so it couldn’t have weighed too much lol

BadgerTails

In the past 5 years I believe I have picked up a SUB2K, a CP33, and a PMR-30, plus a CMR-30. The -30s are 100% reliable when you follow their directions to use 40gr+ 22WMR ammo.. Out-of-the box the Sub 2K (Glock 9mm) was on a pie plate with MP flip ups, standing and unsupported at 100m. The CP-33 does NOT like Norma "TAC 22" ammo; it's kinda greasy and fouls the chamber/feeding quickly.

Micah G

lcp 2 for me not max. Personally I don't like how they seem to be morphing larger. Really liked the p3at and original lcp, but like many felt the lcp2 to be a worthwhile trade off. Thanks Nut'n!

Downtrodden

I have one. It’ll make your hips bleed after 6 miles. Thought about modifying a hydration vest.

Sean

Doodle with the bad dragon drop. Well done, sir.

John Krywy

I got an original LCP somewhere in the 2010 area. Remember it being a backup during Hurricane Sandy. I had it plated to keep the rust down, since I have like battery acid sweat. Has a CT laser, which I figured would be a help if I needed it (zeroed laser, then practiced without it). My main off duty gun is my S&W 642-1, which I had converted to 9mm. Light, accurate… but only 5 rounds. Most of the warmer months, it’s that in a cargo pocket. I do have a P938 SAS (one NF liked in the review)… but I really want more rounds thru it before I carry it (far back burner). Have a .25 Raven… but only because I remember my dad tossing one in his boot when we would go to the city. Also have the threaded Bobcat… mainly for a suppressor host (found a set of CT grips for it). Earlier this year, I switched to the LCP Max. Sights, capacity and slide lock won me over. Had it plated, and after putting good/bad/crap ammo in it… been 100%. With my LCP, I added Magguts internals to all my magazines. Little bit of coin, but you get 7 rounds in the 6 round magazine, reliably. Big for a pocket gun and same kit works for the P3AT. Magguts is working on conversions for the LCP Max… and will convert mine whenever they release them.

Brendan

Stoked to see the P3AT IISA! Amazingly easy to carry. But also I think I’d rather show magnums out of my 329pd than shoot my p3at 😂

Rusty Chains

I got the 2nd gen clone that Ruger put out and I have carried it in an ankle holster just to see how well it worked in that location. Bought that one on your recommendation and haven't regretted it.

Richard Leonard

I almost forgot about my little Keltec. It was my 1st EDC pistol. That and a Bushmaster AR -15 changed my life forever. Many thanks to Barack Obama for the wake up call...

Porter3861

Great video and love when TD joins you. As a father of an adult son, it's so wonderful to have your boy around. I purchased a KelTec P32 based on your recommendation and have enjoyed it. It's my ultra light weight/vacation at the beach CCW. For .380 I carry a Glock 42 about 40% of the time and the balance is a Sig 365. Keep up the great work Nutn!

Phillip Robinette McKracken

As much as I respect .380 for a mailbox gun.. I tend to carry a 38 SW642 or my M17. Then I put on a full plate carrier, helmet, and NODS. The mail carriers really like that a lot. Singing "I've been working on the railroad" as loudly as possible helps me complete the mission. So, totally normal suburban mailbox trip..... Pants are optional. Great to see the Doodle participating on this review! I bet Kel Tek releases the P3PeePee soon.

Phillip Robinette McKracken

He called you too? That cheating b@sturd. That's ok. He probably still wants to deny that he created the greatest civilian army during his presidency. I was already in during Y2K.

Thatdudeluke

I rarely carry my P3AT anymore since I got the PF9, but when I do shoot it, it reminds me why Kel Tec impressed me to begin with… I still love it and will always carry it when I can’t carry the PF9 or anything larger… just got the new P15 metal also and love to shoot that as well, need to find a good holster for that and maybe I’ll be carrying that over the PF9
