Tisas impresses me again with this 9mm 1911 "Duty" model. Though affordable, the forged 1911 laughed at the curse of the desert...after a warm up. I did change the grips and we'll talk about that some but the rest was almost amazing.

Nice! I'll tell you what, those new PSA 1911s are pretty compelling! Think they call them "the admiral". Fun name! I wonder if they perform... the price is good.

Off-topic, but an awesome EDC item I’ve found recently is the ‘Twiggy Pen Scissors’ on amazon. Like $7 for an amazing set of dedicated scissors, and super light. About the size of a sharpie. Love em!

No! No no no no, I can’t get drawn back into the 1911 love circle… Stop it!

Ian

everytime I see you do a 9mm 1911, have you shot that Rock Island double stack 1911, about $800, 17rnds, wonder how they stack up.

Joshua Pulliam

I would love to have a 1911. Still working on my need to have firearms. I ordered my first “full” size gun today, a PSA Dagger. But someday I will get a 1911. . .

Hey Nutn.. couple requests. IISA episode for the KelTec RDB Survival - has anything surpassed it and is it still awesome? Full disclosure - I love mine, hundreds of rounds through and I’m finally putting a suppressor on it. Ruger Gunsight Scout IISA… I’m suppressing that as well with the same can. Your review was a bit of a mixed bag… how does it stand up in 2023? Similar disclosure- I still use my RGS, set up with a Burris 2-7 scout scope forwarded mounted, and it’s gonna be my dedicated subsonic 308 suppressed rifle for the foreseeable future. As you said in your review: putting a silencer on it makes it a completely different animal.

Thanks again Nutn. Wyatt is offering great suggestions. I love my Tisas 1911s. I’m actually in love with Turkish handguns. Canik leads the way, but Tisas and Girsan also bring great value and reliability from my experience. I haven’t tried out Stoeger or SAR handguns yet, but from the accounts I’ve seen they are good too. I enjoyed your Tisas PX-9 review. Have you seen the newer offering the PX9 Gen 3? Tisas cleaned the gun up from the XD look and it has more of its own look now, with a better trigger, though some may say it looks like a 320 slide with a VP9 lower. I appreciate you…Thx…Sharkey

Ive heard really good things about Tisas pistols. Looks like that holds true.. Hope to get one out to my channel for review also.

You keep using that term RNG(run and gun) is that 5k 10k or 15 k? Because i trying and do one 5k RNG a quarter! State of events is OK if you want info hit me up!

Powernoodle

These are $476.99 at Kentucky Gun Company - which is about a 20 minute drive from me. This may be my newest toy purchase, though really I need to sell about 30 guns and not buy any new ones. Thanks Nutn..

Do NOT be afraid, for I have 1911/2011s!!! YES! Just picked up my 4th SIG 1911, PRETTY much based on your old video from what, 2010? Starting a 1911 mini-series here, when the 4th SIG comes in. Getting into the rabbit holes of the OLD SIGs when they first came out, and what did I find? Quality, of course! Grabbed a TISAS OD Army "Property of U.S. Gov't" Coolness....now for everyone that's still reading and a 1911 fan go check out Stan Chen, you will NOT be disappointed!

Ben Wagner

I reload, but mostly just for rifles and revolvers. With the current cost of primers, it’s cheaper to just buy factory 9mm. (Not retired. And it does take lots of time if you haven’t dumped $$$$ for a Dillon.)

Nutn, this is yet another great, educational, and fun GRV. I want to tell you, especially given what our nation has suffered since 2020, your reviews are even more important to me and my/your fellow viewers now more than ever. As a practicing psychologist, we NEED your content. You inspire us and maintain much needed optimism for the future of our Great Republic. Thank you so much, Sir. ... You mentioned that this is not a GTW 1911, and that most 1911's are not. Understood. Can you share (remind?) us what 1911's you would classify as 'GTW 1911's?' Again, I thank you for your service then AND now, as you keep the morale of your loyal viewers/donors high. I hope you are able to appreciate what you mean to me and countless others whom you have never met. May God continue to bless you, yours, and our country Nutn!

I love my 1911's. I recently bought a Springfield 4 inch EMP Ronin, and it was 100 percent failure to eject with 115 grain Fiochi, switched to 124 grain Fiochi and it ran 100 percent....

kylenor

Awesome review! I have a Springfield Ronin 5" 9mm 1911 that I absolutely love. I love shooting 9mm 1911's in general. I bring it to the range almost every time I shoot handguns and to be honest most of the time I'm wondering why I keep buying all these striker fired polymer pistols, because the Ronin practically shoots itself. Such a fun gun.

Rusty Chains

I did keep one 1911 in .45 for nostalgia and because it is my daughter's favorite pistol when we go shooting, but it's too heavy and 8 plus 1 isn't enough when you might have to deal with multiple attackers as we have seen several times here in the Atlanta area.

JFire

Another 1911 video! Love it!

While Amazon is not the preferred supplier, my account is set up so that with every purchase, a percentage is donated to the NRA.

A

The price on lunch and not even including tips is 100%!

Seeker Keyl

Might want to double check that donation. Are you talking about "Amazon smile"? Amazon cancelled that program a while back without telling anybody. They aren't doing donations anymore to anyone.
