Don't get scared as you hike out. Things will be different and you may feel like the Omega Man (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWB6Ufh4O98), never having been this alone for awhile. The psychology of the Vehicle Bug Out experience starts off Part 3 of VBOK. You'll also see in this part never seen before Nutnfancy backpacking, snow camping photos. And Op Red Skies will also provide some background imagery!

TacticalDoodle and I head to the Warehouse for this one. We then get into my built VBOK and go thru interesting items. Heading up the experience will be our go-through Adventure Medical Kit's Trauma 2.0 FAK. It is one a few pre-built kits I would rec to you, link below. Hygiene, saw upgrades, optics, water systems, and more are also covered. TNO donors for more detail in the VBOK explanation and this Part 3 delivers!

VBOK Pt 3: Psychology of Success

Don't get scared as you hike out. Things will be different and you may feel like the Omega Man, never having been this alone for awhile. BadgerTails

!VBAAAACH! for $1000 V-Bucks, or an Owl-Shed patch!? My Barbies are all packed up into their transpo, going looking for GrayKen doll... Merry Christmas TnPers!!!

Rob Miller

Dadadada Dude dude dude dude when’s part 4 dropping? Seriously, We love these & thank you for your awesome work.

The Nutnfancy Project

Thank you Rob and everyone for your enthusiasm, it spurns me on to do more! Part 4 getting filmed this week

Todd Strelka

I'm watching this now. Such good information to help us be prepared. The entire VBOK concept reminds me of an event I learned about that occurred in 1959. On Aug 16th near midnight that year, a 7.5 M earthquake occurred which caused a massive landslide, flooding, and high winds in SW Montana. Many people were camping in the area and 28+ people died and several others were injured. The roads were impassable as there were large crevasses in the road. People were stranded in the area for nearly a week before help could get to the area due to the massive damage. If you're ever near Yellowstone National Park during the summer, it's worth the trip to visit the Earthquake Lake Visitor's Center. https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/custergallatin/home/?cid=FSEPRD891034

Salted Senior

Lots of good info in here that I will be implementing. Great job!

Joshua Pulliam

VBOK Part 3! TNPers everywhere rejoice!

Mike Y

Kelty Redwing 50 just added to the collection. In the amazing Duck Green. Another “No, honey, I’ve had this forever. I didn’t just buy it.”

Mike Y

Alternate series title “I’ll VBOK” (Said in heavy German accent)

Patrick Brichta

So what are your thoughts on the Kelty Redwing Tactical Vs. Redwing Civilian flavors? As well build, materials, layout, etc.??

BadgerTails

Ahhhh BEER:30 in my "weekend", time to reflect, re-assess, eval inventories, DRIVE on TNpers! PMA= positive mental attitude, where A LOT of PMA comes from being prepared, YOU are NOT going to be wet/cold/hungry and making bad decisions. DRIVE on! We SHALL make it!

BadgerTails

How does it fit YOU and your most likely get home mission?

Patrick Brichta

So are you the official shit head troll for the TNP patreon page?

Carl

How about a pocket Bible/New Testament. Raise your spirits, worst case you could use for tinder.

Tomahawk... not a bad idea. I always have a half axe in the truck (gerber/fiskar) with a 24 inch handle... how many times i have cleared a road, built riprap to get unstuck, ive split entire cords of wood over the years using it. Heck, ive even built a hunters cabin with it with 5 foot walls and a branch thatched roof wifh a ffrap over top. Was in bear country getting stalked while out hunting by a big grizzly, so i built a walled cabin...chinked it the nexted day with moss and used it for a week. If i left my truck it would be coming with me 100%

TechNeck

Socks.. you need spare socks.. the idea is you are walking for days... socks. I would take a spare pairs of socks, a spare set of underwear and a spare undershirt, so if nothing else i have dry next to skin items when i stop for the night over just about any tool. Nothi g is more demoralizing and dangerous to you health then being wet and staying wet as you cool down and try to sleep.

Kinoons

One thing to consider - many of us will have a backpack or bag of some sort or another during our daily travels. Mine is filled with work stuff and is in my car 95% of the time. While I do have a dedicated built VBOK, I also have a vaccum sealed bag of clothes and tiny emergency sleeping bags that live under the carpet in the trunk. I could easily yard sale my work bag into the car and use that now empty backpack to carry clothes/supplies I removed from vacuum storage.

The chest rig (pouch) you want is one of the ones by Hill People Gear. It’s probably three times the price of the Chinese knock offs, but it is US made and go to war level quality. I use it for carrying a G20 and mags in the backcountry and it is phenomenal. Also in terms of chafing, Body Glide is your friend. I started off, using it for running and obstacle course races, and use it for all backpacking trips as well. It comes in a deodorant stick type applicator and you just apply it between thighs and on other friction points like you would deodorant. It is excellent, and far less messy than talc or cornstarch. Great series! Keep up the good work! P.S.: Added a dedicated Redwing 50 to my pack collection that will live in my vehicle. Also recently picked up a FN SLP - the great “sleeper” autoloading shotgun based on your initial review and Langdon Tactical 1301 review. Rock on!

Brian Driver

I keep a change of clothes in my truck and bottled water. My get-home-bag (GHB) has a self made first-aid kit, fire starting kit, map, compass, emergency food and Sawyer Squeeze for water filtration. I have a tarp and cordage, a couple of space blankets and signal items such as a whistle and mirror. Let's see, a flashlight with spare batteries and a Glock fixed blade knife which I highly recommend. MRE salvaged (unused) toilet paper and a bar of hotel soap. There's a few more items but just an overview. Thanks to your videos from time to time I add to it. I'm not completely prepared for any and all situations but I'm probably 90% more prepared than most.

Mike Y

I strongly second the HPG chest rig. I put hook and loop backed reflectors for night runs on the front and back. It handles pretty much any weight you can fit into it.

The Nutnfancy Project

Choosing a subdued color is best. Navy blue, grey, black are always good. In an urban environment I would avoid FDE and camos, it might draw attn. In my areas those are preferred.

Kyle Soucy

I really liked the point at the very end. You’ll have more suck than you can stand. Might as well mitigate it. You want to be as comfortable as possible.

Racing Psychosis

Most of this just gets me to thinking about stuff that may need to be in my truck. Part of the benefit of the vehicle is that it can carry a lot more things. I also have for years carrried a tomahawk in my truck. Different times of the year may necessitate taking or leaving different things, just as urban/suburban/rural/middle of nowhere will dictate different things that may or may not be taken if you have to ditch the vehicle. My system is currently somewhat modular. I also carry a small chest rig. I carry a smaller rig that I can potentially conceal under a jacket in a Haley Strategic Micro Chest Rig or even throw in the pack. NC Scout/Brushbeater also has a micro/minimalist chest rig as well: https://brushbeater.store/products/uw-gear-minimalist-ar-chest-rig

Robert Avery

Love when TD is around too. Great stuff 👏

JARMYSTRONG

TD looked miserable, you could tell his tank was 90% empty. Get better bud.

Rocky Meredith

Nut'n, I love, love, love these kit vids, keep 'em coming with as much detail as you can stand to make! Also, sorry TD was sick, hope he's back to 100%, I love seeing/hearing him on your vids :)!

Lynn E Fite, Col (r)

A real approach to water filtration. Contaminated water will shut the body down faster than Gomer. It is the one element the body needs first

David Elkins

Best value trauma med kits, made in the USA, Refuge Medical.

RECALL

Keep it up! Looking forward to the next part!

Kinoons

I believe that 5.11 also has a similar chest rig system that isn’t crazy expensive and is more durable than the cheap Chinese bags

david rockwell

Great to see T.D. despite his ill health. The philosophy insight for varying gear is enjoyable and thought provoking. Peak Refuel is great tasting freeze dried food with higher fat content (i.e. taste). Downside of Peak is reduced shelf life of five years. We used Peak exclusively for a six day trip with no complaints and many compliments. Bring on net part. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication.

Racing Psychosis

There comment to me has always been that they will guarantee the premium taste within 5 years, that the meal itself will last longer in package.

Rob Miller

I Have this. It’s good.

Rob Miller

U got me excited for a moment. I’ve been trying to catch that in stock for over a year now.

Matthew Mansell

WHEN IS PART 4 COMING?!?! We need it Nutn!

CBlaster 1

Would love to see a detailed POL break down on the different compact binoculars. Leica 8x20, is it worth it over the Zeiss 8x25 for backpack travelling? Can I fit the Leica more places (like pockets daily) than a 8x25 Zeiss. Leica is more expensive than Zeiss terra, so instead go for the Zeiss Victory or save money?

Winter Fox

How do I watch this? It says private (I'm a patreon supporter). Can't find it on Rumble or Ugetube

Justyn Drummond

I’m having the same issue, been experiencing this for several days.

Jesse Sapp

Hey Nutfancy, something wrong with part 3.

Jesse Sapp

Still issues with this video

PTL SCIENCE

Ditto - the private bandit strikes again

Justyn Drummond

By any chance does anyone know if PT 4 has been released as of yet? Perhaps I may have overlooked it. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Sticky

Did we ever get a pt4?
