The only thing (never say only) that “should” be able to scratch a sapphire crystal would be something with the hardness of a diamond. The sapphire crystal is a 9 on the mohs scale, a diamond being a 10. So, it is difficult to scratch these watches. In fact, in construction the real worry would be shattering the crystal, not scratching it. Still, innocuous things like nail files, which contain diamond dust, can scratch your crystal. That is why so many companies are trying to combine the hardness of a mineral crystal with the scratch resistance of a sapphire, ala Invicta and their “flame fusion” crystal which has the best properties of both. Btw, Stan B has an outstanding business model which keeps his prices low, quality exceptional, and customer service beyond compare. I have been a customer for over 10 years. Perhaps the best dive watch value in the industry.

A little PSA. I bought the Deep Blue tritium DayNight T100. Noticed that every week I had to adjust the time by about 5 mins.. Called them and was told that a 45 sec per day difference, my average difference, is within expected tolerances of their Seiko movement. That works out to a little over 5 minutes a week, 20 minutes a month, 4 hours a year,. Not really a timepiece but more an accessory...a role it fills satisfactorily. Love the looks, 2nd cool, of the watch. Best have an alternative timepiece if you need to be somewhere.

I got a master 1000 couple years ago with the nutnfancy code. Worn rotational during that time. Recently clasp fell apart, repair shops been having trouble finding parts to repair. Kinda soured on this brand.
