The old school fans like me get Hyungdon's humor but the new gen fans are more sensitive and don't understand him, they think he is rude/disrespectul but that is just his character and that is how he became famous through Infinite Challenge. And yes, he has a great chemistry with GD, I think you can tell how they even won the best couple award. He actually has some health issues and he is not that active in variety anymore, I think it's really nice that he came back for GD's Good Day, he will probably be in season 2 too.

That's right. It's a reference to CL's 'The Baddest Female', but GD actually changed 'Unnie' (older sister) to 'Ong-ah'—which is a cute, playful way to say 'older brother'. You see, to GD, Hyungdon is his 'Ong-ah'.

I would LOVE to see Jung Hyung-don in season 2!!!!

Surprisingly, Hyungdon is softie. He has the most soft heart among the I.C. members. In fact, Hyungdon dropped out of I.C. in the middle because of his depression. According to Kim Tae-ho, the main PD of I.C and Good Day, he asked GD to be his partner because Hyungdon was struggling a lot. GD was also struggling with many schedules at the time, But they became good friends after this music festival. As fans of both I.C. and GD, I am very happy that they are still good friends😊

One thing I really like about about Infinite Challenge (not just this music festival series) is that this show is mostly a comedic variety show, but it does have its sincere moments as well! IC was all about taking on different challenges and pushing the members' own limits. It was a genre that wasn't very popular when they first started out, it later grew to become one of the most iconic variety shows in Korean entertainment industry, but even now you don't see shows like this anymore because it's so demanding - nowadays, these kinds of challenges would have standalone series so it's not as stressful compared to IC where they are constantly doing these kinds of things week after week. They've had fun challenges such as quiz tournaments and music festivals, but also physically-demanding ones like speed rowing and car racing (where you really get to see a different side of the members). That's why I also really felt for Hyungdon when he started crying, I don't watch all IC episodes, but I've watched enough to know that most of the cast members were cast in IC as unknown comedians and they must have went through everything imaginable during that period of time that the song Heeyeol wrote felt so heartfelt and personal to them. I think that is also why I'm very forgiving towards crude humor in IC, because I've seen how genuine the members can be (: Thank you for your reaction as always, and I can't wait for you to check out the final episode of this season next week! (I think? haha)

The CL song you were thinking of was 'The baddest female'. Gd even performed his own cover a couple of times, 'the baddest male'
