ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Hello everybunny!Sorry for being unactive for a few days. Between working on an NDA plush for a company again, and all the hand sewing the Mimic has, it's taken us a while to bring you a new WIP. But we have cool things today!

As we said, we've been working on the Mimic plush. If you remember, the base we did was a bit too wide for our liking, and we wanted to simplif the embroidery. With a few quick changes, we got a more square shape and the finishing we wanted! It looks way more like our design, and the wood effect isn't oversaturated.

Once we had all the pieces, it was time to hand sew them together (and not just pin them like the previous test). And here is where we realised that this plush will be easy skill-wise, but it will be very time consuming due to all the hand sewing it recquires hahaha. But we think that the effort will be worth it ^^

With the new base sewn, it was time to work on the details. We started with the grey stripes, the "metallic" part of the chest. We added some embroidered rivets to give it an extra touch.

Finally, we made the lock. Flat on the upper side and on a different layer on the lower side, with an embroidered keyhole in the middle.

And this is how the Mimic prototype is looking like! More finished every time hehehe. The upper side is all sewn and you can see how cool the metal parts look like. On the lower side they are just pinned, that's why they are more separated from the wood. We're waiting to see how it looks with the teeth and eyes to decide if we want to make the box lower or not.

We honestly like how it's turning out A LOT. Even though it's being slower than we expected, we're enjoying the process. The result looks so cuddly and creepy at the same time. And with every detail it looks more and more cool. We can't wait to make the rest of the details to see it finished >w<

----ESPAÑOL----

Hello everybunny!
