ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Hello everybunny! Today's post is short but entertaining~We've continued working on the beetle patterns. Since we had the arms done, before working on the legs we decided to work on the heads. The arms already give us an idea of the global look, and at the end, the head is the most important part of the plush, so we wanted to have enough time to work on them.

At the time of working on them, we thought the shapes were very complex. It would take us many days of patterning from stratch and testing, so we decided to use the tape method! As you may know, with this method we will get a base pattern with a close enough shape, which will only need modifications to adapt to the fabric's stretchyness and defining shapes. We recommend using it for complex designs, since it takes a lot of time and materials not worth spending on more simple patterns.

Since the heads are big, we first made paper and cardboard base structures. With only those, we couldn't help to laguh at how cursed they looked hahaha. Then we covered them in funny gummy and started sculpting. After a few hours, they looked like this!

We think both heads turned out really cool, and once they dry out, we'll get the patterns to make a first test with fabric. Remember that with this method we will get a base pattern, but you always need to modify it to get the perfect shape >:D

What do you think? Are you excited to see how they turn out??We're can't wait to cuddle them >w<

----ESPAÑOL----

Hello everybunny!
