Beetles WIP 2: Body and arms (Patreon)

ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL
Hello everybunny! It's time for a new work update post ^^ Sorry for taking a while to post, but we're working on a secret project at the same time as we work on the beetles and regular commissions, so we can only write a post when we work on the last two. Luckily we're almost done with the secret project! So now, let's show you some new WIPs of our beetles!
In the previous post, q we showed the first body test. We only needed to improve the belly shape and the bottom curve. With just one more test it was enough ^^
After that, we started working on the arms. They are made of 3 separate pieces plus the claws. We wanted that, except the claws, everything was machine sewn together, so it was a bit tricky to design. You can see how all different parts evolved in each test. They changed specially in the proportions, because it didn't convince us. We finally got to keep test 4! For the first tests we used damaged endroll fabric, that's why the fur looks messy. We use damaged fabric for the first tests. With the arm done, we made the claws and pinned them to the hands. We made a hole in the shoulder so it's closer to the body and can be machine sewn to it to be more resistant. We also left an opening in the hand for stuffing it.
And this is how it looks all together! It looks like a mecha hahaha. Also, we tries to put a skeleton inside the arms and they pose fine!!! Even more adorable don't you think? >w<
We still want to make some changes to the shoulder and hand to polish the shapes but we will wait to see how they look with all the other parts on the plush to have a better idea of the changes they need.
Do you like how it's turning out? Are you excited to see how the head and legs turn out? :D

Hello everybunny!
