Shiny Volcarona - Pokemon WIP 1: Plush study (Patreon)

We have a really really interesting project that will be a challenge for us; a shiny Volcarona plush, the bug fire pokemon of genV.

If you don't appreciate its difficulty with just the pictures, let's see all the elements that'll be more difficult from this plush. First, the body shape. Though the official plushies have a straight abdomen, but this pokemon has it blended.  So we'll have to have in mind not only the shape, slightly wider on the sides, but also that curved abdomen. Then, its huge wings. It has 3 pairs of wings that have to stay still, but we won't use wire since we want the plush to be more cuddly, so we have to sew them carefully. Also, we won't do the gradient on the wings, we'll base more in the anime version, which has a curved colour change. 

And last but not least, the fur. We could use minky and make the hair shape, but since it's such a long fur, why not use quality fake fur instead? You can already see it in the picture that it's super soft. And it will be great to give it the perfect shape.

Os traemos un proyecto muy muy interesante y que representará un gran reto para nosotras; un peluche de Volcarona variocolor, el pokemon bicho fuego de la quinta generación.

Por si no apreciáis su complejidad solo con la foto, vamos a repasar los elementos más llamativos y difíciles de este diseño. Para empezar, la forma de su cuerpo. Aunque la mayoría de peluches oficiales hemos visto que hacen el abdomen recto, este pokemon lo tiene doblado hacia adelante. Así que no solo tendremos que tener en cuenta su "peculiar" forma, algo aplastada y abombada, si no que tendremos que hacerlo con inclinación.
Después, sus enormes alas. 3 pares de alas que tienen que aguantarse perfectamente en el peluche. No usaremos alambre lo más seguro, porque queremos que se puedan mover con mas fluidez y sea algo achuchable. Así que tendremos que coserlo con cuidado.  Eso sí, no haremos el degradado. Lo que haremos será hacerlo como el diseño original, donde el color cambiaba con una curva.
Y por último pero no menos importante, el pelo. Podríamos hacer el pelo con minky y ya está. Pero siendo un peluche peludo, ¿por qué no ir un paso más adelante y utilizar pelo largo de calidad? Solo en la foto ya podéis ver lo suave que es. Y será perfecto para peinarlo y darle la forma correcta.
