Shiny Volcarona WIP 2: Body base (Patreon)

We start with the most challenging part pattern-wise: the body/abdomen.
For this plush, we had to think a lot how many pieces we would use and how to sew them. It had a very marked shape, ending with that spike at the end. The challenge was not using too manny pieces and seams. So after a couple attempts, we came up with anew way of patterning that we hadn't made before, and we loved the result. It's exactly what we wanted, and this trick will be of use in future commissions.

With no doubt, the shape and curve are exactly what we wanted and they look great. Now it's time for the side pieces.

Pues empezamos con la parte que nos dará más trabajo en tema de patronaje; el cuerpo/abdomen.
Para este diseño, tuvimos que pensar muy bien qué piezas utilizar y cómo coserlas. Tenía una forma muy pronunciada, acabando en esa especie de "aguijón" en la punta. Y el reto era no usar una gran cantidad de piezas y costuras.  Así que después de un par de pruebas, descubrimos un nuevo tipo de patrón que nunca habíamos hecho, y nos encantó el resultado. Es tal cual lo que buscábamos, y ese tipo de patrón nos servirá de cara a próximos encargos.

Sin duda, toda la forma y curvatura que buscábamos se ve genial. Ahora toca añadirle las piezas de los lados.
