Hello people! Today we bring you something we're REALLY hyped over! As you may know (we've said it a lot of times, specially on Discord), in the near future we want to start making fursuits. We want to make several for ourselves, like Inteleon and Cinderace, both Toctricity, Revali from BOTW, OCs... And, if they turn out good, maybe take some fursuit commission! Don't worry, we don't want to stop making plushies :) They will still be our main job, but we'd like to get more into this world.
So yesterday we started our adventure and worked on a fursuit for the first time. We commissioned a friend to 3D print the head base, and we recieved it a few days ago. NEither him or us have experience with fursuits, so we will probably have a lot of mistakes and things to improve. But with the insturctions we gave to our friend, based on all the fursuit base heads and tutorials we have watched, and working on the 3D model the three of us, we finally got something to start working with.
If you watched the stream we made yesterday, we started working on the structure to fit the base head to mine (Jenni). We couldn't make it stay in place, it would fall from the weight, and we had to make it able to open and close the mouth too. At the end of the stream the base was very advanced. And as we said, our intention is to record and document ALL our experience. We said we'd continue working on the head in the next stream, but today, after work, we got an idea and we wanted to try it out. And it was good, because we managed to make the head stable!
Now we'll explain a bit what you see in the pictures. It's important that your head fits perfectly on the fursuit head, and we used foam for that. We recommend to keep adding foam until you feel it tightly fit. It's also important to use thick rubber bands in the back. We want to investigate more because we've seen that some makers use buckles for a better fit and to make it easier to put the head on and off. Also something we think it's important, specially with heads with moving jaws, is to put a "stopper" on the chin. IT improved the opening and closing movement a lot and it also prevents the head from sliding down. We also added a "stopper" on the nose, to give the head another support point and more stability.
Now that we've started to work on this seriously (although slowly, ebcause we're doing it in our free time), we'll start showing you EVERYTHING we have investigated, learned and used to make our fursuits. We want to show you everything from the start, everything we've learned until now and everything we will make and learn in the future. We would like that our explanations could help you if you're interested in making your own fursuits. You know we love sharing this kind of stuff with you all >w<
Our priority is keep working on commissions, so the updates on the fursuits will be slow and from time to time. But we'll do our best to show you everything we make. And of course we want to make a good job with these fursuits, because it would be great if we end up making a fursuit for any of you ^^

Hola gente!
