Sherb Animal Crossing WIP 12: second outffit, blue heart apron (Patreon)

We'll show you the blue heart-shaped apron! It's one of Sherb's extra outfuits.By petition of the customer, we made it completely of minky, and instead of the checkered pattern it has in the game, the colour is plain blue. But we based on the ingame model a lot.

This outfuit has two parts.First, we made the white shirt, with frills on the cuffs and embroidered buttons in the front. Since you can barely see the shirt on the game, we just guessed it hahaha

After that, we made the most important part, the apron itself. It has 3 pieces: the "skrt", the big heart and the ribbons with the bow.We used both embroidery and frill effect on all of them. And except from a couple seams and sew the check buttons, this is how it looks.

We think it turned out adorable! Minky makes it lose the frill shape a bit, but it's visible enough.Our favourite parts are the heart and the bow. We think that with the embroidery we could give it depth and a bit of realism, specially on the bow, which being so tiny it couldn't be functional. We're not used to make such cute clothes, specially when they're made of minky, and we were afraid because it's out of our comfort zone of using the same fabric we'd use for human clothes. But we think it turned out so pretty and we'd like to make more stuff like this in the future!

Now that the outfuits are done (except one that we will make later on), we only have to finish sewing together all of Sherb's parts! We'll show him finished soon.

Vamos a enseñaros el delantal azul en forma de corazón! Es uno de los trajes extra que nos pidieron para Morfeo. Tiene algunos cambios por petición de nuestro cliente, como por ejemplo, eliminarle el estampado a cuadros y dejarlo de un color liso o que sea de tela minky para ser más suave. Pero nos hemos basado mucho en el que aparece en el juego.  

Este traje consta de dos capas. Primero hicimos la camisa blanca, con frusfrus en las mangas y botones bordados por delante. Como en el juego no se ve mucho la zona debajo del delantal, nos lo hemos inventado un poco jajaja.  

Después hicimos la parte más importante, el delantal en si. Tiene 3 piezas: la falda, el corazón gigante y las tiras con el lazo. En todas las piezas hemos usado tanto bordados para hacer los detalles como costuras en arco para simular el frusfrus que tiene por todo el traje. Y así es como quedaría a falta de alguna costura que le falta y añadirle checks.  

La verdad es que ha quedado muy adorable! Sí que al ser minky se pierde un poco la forma del frusfrus, pero se aprecia lo suficiente. Nuestra partes favoritas son el corazón y el lazo. Creemos que con el bordado le hemos conseguido dar profundidad y un poco de realismo, sobretodo en el lazo que al ser tan pequeño no podía ser funcional. No solemos hacer trajes tan "cute" y de minky, nos daba algo de miedo porque se sale de nuestro estilo realista con ropa de verdad. Pero creemos que ha quedado muy bonito y nos gustaría probar a hacer más en el futuro!   

Ahora que tenemos los trajes terminados (a falta de uno que quedara pendiente para hacer más adelante), solo queda acabar de coser y unir las piezas de nuestro Morfeo! Os lo enseñaremos terminado muy pronto
