Dom Animal Crossing WIP 3: New patterns and first embroidery test (Patreon)

IT's time for a new Dom post! We're so happy to show you how it's going >w<As we said in the last post, we had to change the body a bit and change the face shape (specially the darts, since the first patter had a dar in the middle of the chin and we had to put embroidery there).

So we made a couple more body and face tests and we got ones that we really liked. But we have to keep in mind that until we make the wool we won't know if they work or not, but we think it's going the right direction.

Since we made the new patterns so fast, we wanted to show the first embroidery test on the same post.

And we can say he's A TOTAL CUTIE. Protect the child ;____; Making this unique expression was the right choice, we love how he looks, it makes you want to hug him all the time.

The embroideyr has some things we have to change, like the density and overlapping of the eyes and moving them a bit, buy a new colour for the mouth (more brown-ish probably) and also change the face pattern a bit since the embrodiery slightly changed the shapes.But it's still a very good first test!

The customer told us that they gave us the wrong references for the face, and asked us to change it for an even sadder one hahahaThe other person that commissioned us Dom also wants a different face, but we want to get this expression before starting to work on the second one.

Anyway, you can already see that it will turn out super cool. We are very very happy with the results. And we're specially proud of not needing so many tests to get good shapes, which means we're learning to make patterns better and faster!

In the next post we will try to show the new face. The mouth will still be the wrong colour, but we'll take the chance and use that test to work on the rest of the plush while the new thread arrives.

Toca nuevo post de Fibrilio! Estamos super contentas de poderos enseñar ya como va >w< Como os comentamos en la publicación anterior, teníamos que agrandar un poco el cuerpo y cambiar un poco la forma de la cara (sobretodo en tema de pinzas y costuras, porque con el primer patrón no podíamos poner el bordado que queríamos, chocaría con la pinza).  

Así que hicimos un par de cuerpos y de caras y ya sacamos uno que nos convencía mucho. Hay que recordar que hasta que le pongamos la lana no sabremos si está bien del todo, pero va muy bien encaminado.  

Como sacamos tan rápido este nuevo patrón, quisimos enseñaros en el mismo post la primera prueba de bordado que hemos hecho.  

Y podemos decir que ES UNA MONADA. Protect the child ;____; Hacerle una expresión más única ha sido un acierto, nos encanta cómo se ve y dan ganas de achucharlo todo el rato. 

El bordado tiene algunos fallos que cambiar, como densidades y superposiciones en los ojos y moverlos un poco, comprar otro color del hilo para boca (un tono más marrón seguramente) y también queremos ajustar un poco el patrón de la cara ya que el bordado a veces cambia un poco las formas. Pero aún así es una muy buena primera prueba!  

El cliente también nos ha dicho que se equivocó al decir qué cara quería y nos ha dicho que la cambiemos por una que da aún más penita jajaja Hay dos personas que nos encargaron a Fibrilio, y la otra quiere una cara distinta, pero queremos dejar esta terminada antes de empezar a trabajar con la segunda.

Aún así, ya se puede ver que va a quedar super genial. Estamos muy muy contentas con el resultado. Estamos especialmente orgullosas de no estar necesitando tantas pruebas para sacar el peluche bien, lo que significa que cada vez aprendemos a patronar mejor y más rápido!  

En el siguiente post intentaremos enseñaros la nueva cara a ver qué os parece. La boca aún será del color incorrecto, pero aprovecharemos y usaremos esa prueba para trabajar en el resto del peluche mientras llega el nuevo hilo.
