ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL
Hello everybunny!Today we'll make a review of a new product we bought.
Already 2 years ago, we made a video talking about differences between minky, kullaloo and mochi fabrics. In the video we show two types of mochi fabric, one we bought on eBay and the seocnd one from AliExpress, which we already had for a while at the time of the video.
Back then, we found the mochi fabric from Aliexpress had way less quality because it had very low density, it deformed a lot and we didn't like the finishing. But a couple months ago, several of you and other plushmaker mutuals comented that they used aliexpress mochi and they were very happy with it.So a few weeks ago we decided to buy the mochi samples from Hopen Textiles, the AliExpress store, plus some skeletons for the Animal Crossing plushies we're making.
The first thing we want to say is that there are A LOT of colors. In fact, there are way more colors than Shannon minky. Some are super close to each other and others are too bright, but there's a lot of variety. Now, seeing it in person and being able to check it up close, it looks that the quality has increased a lot. It's way more dense and has a better finishing. It's still less dense than the mochi from other stores, since when you stretch it, you can see the gaps between knits. For the price, it's more or less the same as in eBay and Stoffhummel.
In conclusion; the Hopen Textiles mochi quality has improved a lot. We still prefer the quality of our other options, so if the eBay store or Stoffhummel have the colors we want we'll buy them there. Specially since the price is practically the same. But for different colors that those stores don't have, we'll surely buy it from Hopen textiles and we recommend using it without problem.
If you don't want or can't buy the sample book, here are photos of all the colors. We tried to edit the light and take the photos in the lightbox so the colors look as close to the real ones as possible!
And remember that you can always ask us about any doubt about materials you have and we will do our best to help!

Hello everybunny!
