ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Hello everybunny!Today is a very special day, because we finished the Honduran white bat plush!! We'll talk about the remaining process and show the final result ^^

If you remember, we made the body pattern and the eye embroidery. After that, we worked on the ears and nose, which luckily are 2D pieces (except a couple extra seams on the nose). It just took a couple tests to get them right. Then, we worked on the most difficult part; the wings.

It was hard to decide how to make them, because we didn't want them to be just a flat pieces. We wanted the arm thickness to be different from the membrane, making different layers. So we decided to make them in separate pieces and then hand sew them together. The first test didn't have a defined shape and was too big, so we changed the arm's curve, the hand hook and the general shape. And of course, we did the color blocking! With these changes we loved it ;__; It loked adorable.

There were only the final details left. We made their tiny feet, placed them in the back and also applied the pink blush around the eyes. We did some blush tests on rabbit fur and finally decided for a pretty pastel pink ^^

Finally, it was time to make the leaf. If you remember, we wanted the bat to be able to be placed on a big leaf, like the real animal. For that, we added magnets inside of the body. It was difficult to make the leaf because we didn't know how to give it a natural shape and at the same time have magnets to stick to the body.

At the end, we divided the leaf in three parts; the two laminas and the midrib. We used quilt batting to give the laminas thickness and then sewed the veins to give them some realistic texture. We put a thick wire inside the midrib, which would give bothe shape and stability to the leaf and also would serve as the metallic part where the bat would hang from.

Honestly, this part was the one we thought about the least when planning the plush, and at the end we spent several days trying to figure it out and making tests. But it was worth it.

And now, finally, here's the bat plush 100% finished. IT'S SO CUUUUTEEEEEE. We want to shquish it so hard ;3;We really love the material combo, their eyes, the wing shape, the baby face... But we find specially adorable how it looks in his leaf home. So comfy. We're very proud of this plush, because it turned out exactly how we wanted. It even suprassed the Bunpinyons. Making original designs is being a great adventure.

What do you think? Do you like it as much as we do?

Now we have to finish preparing the sewing instructions, which we will finish in the following days. Our goal is to have them ready by Wednseday, but they will be ready before Christmas for sure~ Are you excited to make your own?

Finally, we will put this fluffy baby for sale at 200 euros alone, or 250 euros with the leaf. So if you're interested, comment or send us a message! It will be happy to find a home <3

We will keep the one we'll make for the sewing instructions hehe ^^

----ESPAÑOL----

Hello everybunny!
