ENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Hello everybunny! Today we have a new post about our commission work.

As you know, one of the projects we were working on was Moaw, the garlic gremlin. In the last WIP we showed you the first embroidery test, that needed some changes, and we were waiting for the new threads to arrive to continue working on it.

They arrived last week, and we started working on the new embroidery test. For this test, we shrinked the face, adjusted some proportions and rotated the eyebrows. We also fixed the applique around the dart, and the garlic lines as well.

It's amazing how much it improved! We didn't expect that the difference would be so visible at first sight ^^. That's why we think that sometimes it's worth it making another test. Even if they are small and tedious changes, the result is worth it.

Once the head was done, we worked on the body. The arms and legs were going to be floppy, so we had to design them thinking that it would be sitting down mostly. This kind of bodies isn't our speciality, we're more used to fixed poses. But we always like to give the best of us >:D

We needed a couple tests for the body and another couple for the arms and legs. But everything turned out great quickly. We left the limbs rather empty, just stuffing with plastic beads and some stuffing in the hands and feet, so they would hanf down and have mobility. For the hands and feet, we did a flat pattern and then used the thread sculpt technique to make the fingers and toes. They look so cute hahaha

The last piec of the plush was the garlic crown. We just did an ITH piece with some embroidered lines and sew the sides together to create the crown.

So except for hand sewing all the pieces together, Moaw is almost finished!! We really like how this garlic boy turned out, it's so friendly and cuddly. The most difficult part was the head's shape, but we enjoyed sewing all the parts ^^

What do you think? Do you also like it?

Today we will finish the handsewing and we'll ship him to his new homw during the week. So we'll be able to continue and finish Angel!

----ESPAÑOL----

Hello everybunny!

The garlic details and shape with crown came out so perfectly! I love how he looks. Also while I personally prefer making fixed position plush (just like you) for cudding floppy plush are so much better xD

He's so cute, love the design and embroidery details in his garlic head!

Did you use different minky for the skin vs the garlic helmet and clothing?
