I came across an interesting argument synthesizing Frantz Fanon's theories of self-determination and colonization with the role of tech capitalism in our lives today. Most importantly, Lizzie O'Shea argues that we must take Fanon's concept of self-determination into current struggles arguing that the move to bring "Fanon to problems of the digital age reflects an attempt to take his work seriously, to treat his thinking not as something locked in its time or place." Naturally, I've returned to Fanon as well, specifically a 1959 speech wherein the revolutionary Fanon argues for the development of a national consciousness, that breaks from nationalism and colonial domination of the mind.

Lastly, we remember the great João Gilberto whose music brought rhythm and light into this world.  - David Griscom
