Jonathan Larsen (@jtlarsen ), Managing Editor at TYT and executive editor at TYT Investigates joins us to discuss Pete Buttigieg's terrible mishandling of a racist police department in South Bend, Indiana. The origin of the "racist tapes" and Pete's firing of the city's first black police chief after he confronted racist cops for being racist on tape. A separate instance of Buttigieg erring against black cops. The rush to "suicide" judgment after the hanging of  Jiha’d Vasquez. The failure of old-school and McKinsey consulting approaches to law enforcement in South Bend.

Excellent interview! We need to continue the post-war German Denazification and other methods to hold every supporter of every form of Nazism accountable.

Great interview and telling insight into Buttigieg's character. I think it would be cool if this episode was posted on YouTube for the masses. There isn't enough coverage of Mayor Pete's police history out there, and certainly nothing that distills so much of the coverage into one piece of content. Buttigieg's framing of the chief's taping, and of the incident with the next chief are things America needs to be talking about. It's gross, and it's normal professional behavior. The icing on the cake is that he hired a consultant later to write a report on his hiring practices. Either a show of obliviousness or a PR move, it means little in the absence of apologies to the officers who were actually doing their jobs and the community.
