“She has a secret plan” 😂 David Feldman was hilarious. What’s scary is that it sounded like many so-called progressives I have heard from who unfortunately are serious.

HeyZeus Martinez

David is great as always. The medical debt crisis is real and ruining people’s lives. Has any studies been done focusing on medical debt/bankruptcy being a huge factor in the ptsd/mental health of people who have both. Anecdotally a best friend/ex-partner has had very mild anxiety prior to ridiculously defeating medical debt. Now it’s got to the point of extreme PTSD with a repressive self defeating thoughts suck in a feedback loop. This is the doing of insurance companies and if I take an outside look at this it has all the trappings of tragedy. 25k credit card debt, no family money to help during struggle, no answers to what exactly is causing chronic sickness, no more healthcare because all the credit is maxed, day to day is filled with physical pain and mental anguish which just feeds off each other, and an overall inability to see life improving. Nothing prepares a person to witness the steady decline of a human. It’s heartbreaking and I fear the worst. The mental anguish was ramped up and largely the doing of the insurance companies. If she wasn’t facing debt in the tens of thousands as a single woman in her mid 30’s who only high school diploma then I think she would be able to look at the future with some hope. Now she struggles to keep calm and I can see that if she starts having to face in her mind anything past today she will fall into this almost reactionary ptsd mind frame where in order to cope her brain goes into this reality that isn’t quite real because past trauma over the years found a home on the surface rather then buried which should have been dealt with many many years prior but that’s another story. With the culmination of this terrible health insurance experience that has been on going for years and Bernie Sanders message of M4A there wasn’t a moment that I haven’t been inspired by him. Just knowing there is even one Bernie Sanders out in this world is hope. I can’t imagine what the discourse would be if there was no Bernie. The joy I will get if he gets in and says no more medical debt can’t even be expressed because the reality of now is pretty heartbreaking and realistically is torturous on the psyche of someone who got sick now add mental health issues and considerable amount of debt. For what? profits to a CEO and funny enough people are worried about people losing their job at insurance companies. Give me a break. It’s a pretty immoral job. The “well it’s my job defense.” That shits old. Moving forward we must be more cognizant of the suffering we are causing. It matters and always have but neoliberalism allowed us to ignore it. No more.
