I just watched your Thomas Friedman clip........ That quote from Maya Angelou. When people tell you who they are, believe them. The people who are in power of the Dems have told us a thousand times who they are. They are the people who get to decide. We (Bernie supporters) do not get to decide. Biden is their candidate. Obama's endorsement was all we were waiting for. It's in. It ain't us. If he's telling Klobuchar and Mayor Pete to drop and endorse Joe, then we know who Obama endorses. It's time to cut bait. (I'm only a quarter cajun but you can't dilute it) You were right. Every dollar we donate and every door we knock is given to a dead end. They don't want us. But that's ok. We already have a party. It's the party with the most voters in it. It's the party Bernie claims. The Independent Bull Moose party. Why Bull Moose? Because we are the party of the progressives. Just like T. Roosevelt. Bernie says his inspiration is FDR. Great. Bernie'll be the second nominee of the IBM after TR. Following the Roosevelts and for the working class. That way we don't just burn everything just to find out that the Dem. Party won't give us their ball to play with. If they were smart, they would. But, they aren't smart. What do we do? Start running against Trump immediately. My suggestion? Either figure out how to kneecap McConnell and then run the Corona virus response our way or screw McConnel and address Corona ourselves. Finally show the naked Emperor what a leader looks like. Put Bernie working to protect the people of this country. Run rings around Trump. And we can make room for Biden, too if he can figure out how to show up and take a little limelight. I doubt he can but there will be plenty to do. America's dad can show how well he'd take care of America. TR is revered right now. And when the Republicans nominated the guy he hated by that time, TR started his own party. (We don't need to point out he lost. Probably a lot of people would believe he did win because he was the president. We won't say that part too loudly. TR is one of the more popular presidents and Bernie would fit in with our party leadership... Which would be him (and us) Use the two names that might possibly give enough cachet. Grab the independent label Bernie's been using already and gives us a hook to the largest voting block. Then show how badly they have both been serving us. Otherwise we just start a bonfire and burn it all down or back Biden... same thing. We need to start running against Trump now. Now when we have the excitement. Think about how empty their sails will be if they wake up Monday to hear Bernie dropped out. Biden has his wind up expressions all set to go for the next debate and nobody else shows up. Or, since Bernie will run rings. He could do the debate and end with, "That's it. I am doing as you have all asked. I'm dropping out of the primaries. We have to get me on the ticket for November." And that's it. Why wait for them to pummel us and then laugh in our faces like they did in 2016? They will not let Bernie be the nominee. At all. Ever. They already told us they won't....4 years ago. So let's take the greatest opportunity for a good politician to be competent by caring for the people of this country. I suspect we could get our own billionaires, too. I would ask Steyer and Yang to come with us and they can help fund our virus fight and our Trump fight. Fighting that virus would be much more useful than fighting the establishment. Those of us who are doing 10 bucks a month maybe could goose that a bit. Let's IBM those independents in November, right? SW
