i remember Michael's excitement and pure joy when he met and interviewed Lula. Great way to end the segment.

I'm going to miss Michael terribly, but it's incredibly comforting you all are going to carry on his legacy. Rest in peace, Michael Jamal Brooks.

I don't have time to listen to all the podcasts I want to. But I always pushed everything aside to listen to TMBS, or Majority Report Thursdays. Michael was always so informative, and entertaining at the same time. Even on the rare occasions when I thought he was off-base, it still was extremely worthwhile to get his take. I could always count on solid, informed analysis. At the same time, he wasn't afraid to say when he didn't know something. I am interested in what makes for leadership qualities. Michael had those qualities that people find reassuring, like this guy knew how to approach things and could be counted on in this continual crisis. People want to follow someone like that. Since I wasn't expecting Michael to be taken away like this, I never realized how big a role he played in my life. Now, I feel like I have a big hole that won't be filled.

100% never realized how big a role he played both in the literal amount of time spent listening to hi8m but also the impact he had on my thoughts and opinions. unlike others he wasnt the one to radicalize me but he taught me so fucking much and im so much more informed than i was thanks to him.

I can't stop tearing up. I just realized that my contribution to this patreon is 3 times the amount of any other of my patreons and I sure as hell won't stop now. Love you all!

Michael's was a voice that still had so much to say. I grieve for the loss of such a man as this.

I've never been so broken up for a person I never met. Can't stop tearing up. Micheal's voice was a ray of light in this difficult time. My sincere condolences to all the crew. Happy to keep my pledge going to honor Michael's life and, hopefully there will be a way to continue his legacy.

I never became a patron because I couldn’t afford to. I called into MR twice and when Michael told me I had done a very cool thing, it was tremendously validating (I destroyed a copy of Mein Kampf that was in a jail library). I’ll miss Michael for many reasons but keep zeroing in on the fact that he was one of the only people out there that knew more about foreign policy than I do. The breadth of his knowledge was wider and deeper, but like him I have been driven to learn about global revolutions since I was in high school in the 80s, and he knew and spoke about struggles I had long forgotten. I read the autobiography of Malcolm X when I was 13, sounds like it was the first book he read. I waited for ages to hear his take on Rojava but when I did I could tell he had put in at least the same amount of work as me PLUS could find someone to come talk about it. I just want to put it out there and offer that I can try to be there to take questions on international issues that anyone might have. If I don’t know, I can almost always give references or websites that point people in the right direction to find their own answers. DMs @lunadyana and remember folks, we’ll all see Michael in the fun half!

Lisha is the spitting image of Michael and when I saw her for the first time on MR it was so...there are really no words. I have been listening to this iteration of MR since it began and since Michael has been on, so, for 8 years. I was able to communicate with him several times and it's just still so unbelievable that he is gone. He was such a brilliant mind and vibrant spirit and he will be sorely, sorely missed.
