I found these while scrolling through photos from one year ago on my phone… edited pretty easily with a fun photo editing app.

What I love about them is that, at that time, in those moments — it felt that colorful and magical.

Discovering a country that was entirely new to me, forging new friendships in the time of Covid, being as safe-and-yet-as-connected as we could be in times like these…

I have gone from an extraordinary and unexpected opening to 2021 in South Africa, to an extraordinary and unexpected opening to 2022 in France…

Several of my friends and I discussed whether we might spend every New Year’s Eve in a new city :) What an idea… who knows? Only time will tell. But I like the sound of that.

To say I feel privileged to be here is an understatement.

And, it took so much to get me here.
