This was one of the most magical shoots (and days!) of my life, early December 2021...

And this is one of my favorite pieces that emerged from that experience. One of my favorite pieces ever.

I have few things to say about it. 

The photo speaks. 

To me... it's impossibly sweet.. luscious.. soft.

The contrast of skin and silk against green.

Vulnerable yet strong.

Divinely feminine.

It is a perfect photographic emblem of my emergence from 2021 into 2022. 

Feels appropriate, today. 

I had such an unforgettable night last night, New Year's Eve in Marseille, France. Stayed up dancing and talking the night away til sunrise. I was the last one asleep, as I often am on nights when I give all of myself.

Made so many lovely new friends, and I felt so welcomed to the city, which feels much like a grittier, more earthy cousin of Paris. If Paris struts... Marseille saunters. 

And I like that... I feel that in this photo.
