Well, it is certainly liable to flip your world and make what was down come back up. Call it magic, if you will.

Would magic potions have an expiration date?

and if so, would they get less or more powerful when they’re old/outdated?

Probably depends on whether it’s poison or not. I’d imagine some poisonous potions festering with time and being able to kill a dragon with a single drop after ten thousand years or something. But a ten thousanx year old health potion would probably give you a heart attack.

Fun fact, “expiration dates” are extremely complicated. What it means for a medicine to “expire” is that it behaves sufficiently different to when it was made that the stated purpose or dose is no longer appropriate. A specific medicine might get too strong over time if a chemical that was added to weaken it broke down at a faster rate than the medicinal chemical. Or it might absorb into the body too quickly, no longer meeting the 24hr requirement. Or a specific bottle of the medicine might be able to last 40 years, but each bottle has a 1% chance of becoming deadly after 2 years have passed, so a 1 year expiration is imposed for safety. Magic potions would probably be equally complicated.

Yeah, magic does, in fact, complicate things, I’d imagine. Especially considering the mutative affect mana has on living things in this world. Drinking an expired health potion might not do anything too bad with that protection that humans have, but for those that don’t? I imagine too many eyes, and an uncomfortable amount of teeth where there shouldn’t be teeth.

You can eat any “recently expired” food. You cannot eat “very expired” food. Some foods do not expire (canned food is sealed then boiled or smth, no bacteria inside, the food will break down over years and become disgusting but until the seal is broken it won’t rot). Potions, I imagine, are similar.

Author is having some hard times with job. Uncertain is there will be a chapter today, as there have been few updates. Though chapters are expected to come back before long, as his situation settles.

Hey, quick question (lol, quite long haha): have you considered adjusting the internal time progression in the story so that there can be a more natural culture/civilasation develepment? Don’t get me wrong, I think the pacing for the story is good, but it feels a bit odd for the Children to be considered a proper culture if they don’t get the time to do so naturally. I know they get a kickstart from their connection to the Creator, but that sometimes feels a bit artificial and more like an excuse for why it just happens. So far, the Creator has done a lot of cool things as experiments or for some defence purpose that have eventually turned into some new plot points and moved the story forward. But maybe he should start planning for what he wants the future of his dungeon to look like after he kicks the Templars out on their asses. Like, does he reduce the aging af the Children so that it is closer to humans (I hope so)? Does he start opening trade with the outside world openly? Will he stop the “influence” of his memories on the Children so that they can build their own culture and not piggyback on Earth? I know that we are in the middle of an invasion and all, but maybe with the outside Heroes delving and the exploration of the 11th floor, this is actually the time for the creator to consider how he wants to be perceived after he has won?
