[Exclusive information] GTA 3 Alpha Cars Found (Patreon)

Several days ago "Dimzet" made a huge breakthrough. He was able to find 33 Alpha car models deeply in the game files. 

What is more cool, all of these models have original names inside like "Intrepid", "Astrovan", "Eldorado" and etc. In addition to that, some of them don't even have "wrecked" parts. And finally, all of them belong to the same game development build, which had both alpha and beta car models. 

However, there is a problem. These are just models and, unfortunately, we don't have texture containers from them. For instance, after importing "Transit" model, we see a lot of missing textures. 

 You get it right, "Pony" was "Transit" at some point!

On the bright side, some of these alpha/beta textures can be found in other texture containers or even in other textures. It is hard to explain, but we can restored 50% of them without making them from scratch.

For instance, here is unused "allcolor" texture found in the game files, which is used a lot in these old models. 

So yeah, after exporting all GTA 3 textures, some of these cars look complete. For instance, here is a "Bus" model.

In addition to these car models, I with Dimzet found 22 alpha ped models. Yeesh! 

The problem is, we have absolutely no textures from them, because R* simply remade these models from scratch. 

Here is an example, this is an old "male01" ped model, which was fully changed.

There are more hidden goodies inside, but I want to keep them in secret for now. Yes, I do want to make a video about these finds, but at the same time I don't have enough time nor skills to fix these models and make textures for them. 

As a result, we decide to inform GTA 3D mod team about these finds, because I kinda know these osum guys and I can trust them.

They are trying hard to fix these models and ss soon as they fix them, I will start working on a script. After a video, these models will appear in their mod. Simple as that.

Unfortunately, there are no Dyablo, Shark, Fishing Boat and Panto models. I am not sure, but they were either changed or cut to that date.  

The real mystery is the "Fishing Boat". We know about its Capital Autos render, but there is no model. We all agreed that these models are much newer than those CA renders, but it doesn't explain why there is no alpha/beta "Reefer" model...
