Hello there! Here is some fresh news for you!
~~~GTA VC Beta Analysis [Part 2]
The script for this video is finally finished. Right now I am working in Adobe Premiere and here is a small teaser for you:
At this time I decided to make Russian version of the video first. I want to remind you that it doesn't really matter which language I choose as a base. Both videos (Russian and English) and their early accesses will be out on the same day.
Good news is, the video will probably last around 17 minutes, but on the other hands, it takes forever to make. I didn't predict that I will have to make "custom" CLEO scripts to make the video more appealing.
The problem is, I talk a lot about tiny things in this video and for the most part I don't know what to show you in the background and if I do know what to show, I don't know how to show it.
For instance, there is a hidden room behind a locked door in Hyman Condo and I have to show it somehow. I can't stare at the door for a minute and then teleport inside. It would be just boring to watch. Moreover, the room is too small to navigate there. So what can I do to show you this mysterious room?Well, I decided to write my own CLEO scripts. Instead of teleporting Tommy inside, why not to use a scripted camera? Doesn't it look cool? Well, it does, but it takes a lot of time to code. 😅
Remember I said that there was going to be an additional car showroom around the city? I talk about an empty place with huge windows for two minutes and this place doesn't even have a collision, so there is no point to teleport there, because Tommy would fall through the floor.Why not to make the same scripted camera too? Well, what about to spawn there some cars, freeze them and show it in the video at some point? Doesn't it enhance the experience?
It is hard to talk about something that was completely cut from the game and show something interesting on a screen. It takes a lot of time to brainstorm every single sequence. Without optimizing these parts, the video is just boring to watch and this is what I am trying to fix right now.
Behind the scenes
I want to say a huge thanks for supporting me! Thank to your Patreon donations, I've managed to finally get my hands on that mysterious and expensive GTA 3 brochure with never seen before alpha screenshots. If I didn't have Patreon, I would probably ignore it.
According to the tracking number, the brochure has finally arrived in Latvia and I will going to collect it on Monday.
After some days I will try to take photographs of it and upload it on Patreon by making a separate post. This will be exclusive post for patrons for a week and then I will make it available for everyone. I hope it was worth to waste around $50 on it. 👀
Moreover, I've finally received Samsung Galaxy Note 4 via the post.
I bought this phone to be able to launch the first versions of GTA VC and GTA SA with less lags and to remind you, you can play these old versions only on Android 4. This should be the most powerful phone running Android 4.
Yeah, I know that today old phones are considered to be a junk, but well, there was no other way to launch these stupid ancient versions.
The cool thing about this phone is that I can use it to capture the mobile footage now. It has the right screen aspect ratio for 1080p videos and also a crystal clear picture like I said here.
~~~Moreover, I think I've solved a mystery why GTA SA Remastered/Mobile has broken facial expressions. According to the YT footage, there is no such bug on old PowerVR GPUs. Stupid thing is, now I need to get Galaxy S4 with PowerVR GPU to prove that. Currently my Galaxy S4 has Adreno GPU.
I will make a separate post on YT or here at some point.
~~~
As always stay tuned for more.
