Seven months into the pregnancy, James reached a point where every second of his day required effort beyond what he thought was possible. Even after months of pregnancy, he still couldn’t believe how much his body had changed and how it affected everything he did at his job. He had to push through every task like the stubborn man he had always been, but this time he focused on surviving what should’ve been a regular office job. And still, no matter how hard he tried to keep up with work, the weight and size of his pregnancy were his worst enemy.

His belly was enormous, stretching every shirt and t-shirt he owned to its limit. He had been replacing his clothes every other week, only to outgrow everything within a few days. The buttons on every shirt he owned strained visibly, and some had been replaced after giving up under the pressure. His rounded abdomen started high near his ribs, making it hard to breathe normally, and extended forward with such fullness that he couldn’t stand close to desks or counters without having to adjust his posture.

Walking was beyond awkward. James still tried to move quickly out of habit, especially when he had tasks to complete, but his body refused to cooperate like it used to. Each step had a heavy sway as the weight of his belly had forced his legs apart for balance. And even when he tried to look casual, every other minute he would groan or wince when his thighs, calves, hips, and back ached without him doing much.

On top of that, the babies never stopped moving—which was one of the hardest parts of the whole pregnancy. There was always a kick, a roll, or a stretch that changed the shape of his belly at the most random moments. The movements often make him pause mid-step or cut his words while talking, making it impossible to look professional for long.

James stood in front of the conference room table one afternoon, holding a tablet in one hand while explaining a schedule adjustment to a group of clients, doing his best to sound calm despite how much his back hurt. He had prepared the entire presentation the night before, double-checking every detail to get through it without any issues, but halfway through his explanation, one of the babies kicked, throwing him off mid-sentence.

His belly shook so violently that even the clients closest to him noticed. James gasped and instinctively reached up to press his hand on the spot where one of the babies was still stretching. The pressure didn’t help much because another push followed, deeper and more insistent, making him tense as he tried to stay balanced.

Oliver noticed from across the room, instinctively leaning forward as if willing to jump in and hold James’s body. “You okay?” he asked, trying to remain calm for the sake of the room.

James smiled, still looking strained, even as he felt another movement deep within the lower part of his abdomen. “Yeah,” he said firmly, just like he always did when he didn’t want to answer more questions about the topic. “They just—” His sentence cut off abruptly when a stronger kick stole his breath, making him gasp and groan without him meaning to.

A couple of the clients looked at each other, and James could almost feel their eyes on him. He cleared his throat, forcing himself to straighten while trying to ease the strain pulling at his back, even though the adjustment made the pressure move from one area to the other without fading at all.

“They get a little energetic sometimes,” he added, rubbing his belly and trying for a casual tone, but the tension in his voice made it obvious he was struggling to stay composed.

Oliver finally stood up and got beside James before the moment could stretch any further, picking up the explanation without missing a beat and redirecting the conversation back to the schedule while giving James a chance to recover. James lowered the tablet slightly, taking a brief pause to breathe more evenly and adjust his stance again. His hand still rested protectively over his belly as the movement inside him gradually slowed down.

It had become a pattern as James insisted on continuing his work, refusing to step back despite everything his body was going through. Oliver tried to stay close enough to help when things became too much. He never made it obvious in front of others, but James noticed how the boss stayed nearby during longer meetings, how he adjusted schedules to give James breaks without calling attention to it, and how his eyes tracked every wince of discomfort.

One morning, James dropped a stack of printed reports right outside Oliver’s office. The papers scattered across the floor in every direction, and for a moment he just stood there staring down at them. He knew it was impossible, but he tried anyway. He bent carefully, but the movement made his lower back ache immediately. His belly pushed him forward, and for a second it looked like he was about to lose his balance.

“Don’t,” Oliver said from the doorway.

James froze mid-motion. “I can get it,” he insisted.

Oliver walked over without responding, crouching easily and gathering the papers in a couple of seconds. “You were about to fall over,” he said firmly.

James straightened slowly, taking a deep breath as even that simple motion left him breathless. “I wasn’t. I had it,” he said, trying to control his breathing.

Oliver handed him the stack, raising an eyebrow. “Why are you so stubborn?”

James groaned, took the papers, and turned away to leave, clearly offended.

“Ugh, hormones,” Oliver said, chuckling and rolling his eyes.

The struggles never ended, and even the elevator became a problem that required careful positioning, patience, and a growing awareness of how much space James occupied.

One afternoon, he walked into an already crowded elevator and immediately regretted it. There wasn’t enough room. James turned slightly, trying to angle himself so his belly wouldn’t press directly into the person in front of him, but the limited space made it impossible to avoid it. Someone moved awkwardly beside him, and James felt heat rise to his face.

“Sorry,” he whispered.

“No problem,” the other person said, though her eyes moved down in surprise.

James focused on the numbers above the door, counting the floors as they passed while trying to ignore the movement inside him and the pressure of bodies too close around him.

By the time the elevator doors opened, he walked out and sighed in relief.

Oliver was waiting outside, grinning playfully. “That looked miserable,” he said.

James rolled his eyes. “You have no idea,” he replied. “And it’s your fault.”

Oliver laughed, and they headed for the office as if nothing had happened.

By late afternoon, James was exhausted. He spent more time sitting when he could, though even that was a challenge. Getting up from a chair required effort as his legs had to push harder while his core struggled to compensate for the weight pulling him forward.

One evening, long after most of the office had emptied, James sat in Oliver’s office reviewing documents while trying to ignore the ache in his lower back and hips. He shifted in the chair for what felt like the tenth time in five minutes, trying to find a position that didn’t make his spine feel like it was about to break, but nothing worked anymore. His belly rested heavily on his lap, stretching the fabric of his shirt tight enough that every movement from within was visible, and every small adjustment made the muscles in his back protest.

Oliver watched James for a while, enjoying the sight. “You’re pushing yourself too hard,” he said, concerned but also marveled at how the young man kept going.

James didn’t look up, but one of his hands reached for his belly and started absentmindedly rubbing the taut surface. “I’m doing my job,” he replied, though his voice sounded a little strained. “No big deal.”

Oliver leaned forward, resting his forearms on the desk as he watched James more closely. “You’re doing more than your job,” he said. “You’re doing it while carrying eight people—my people, and your body is very clearly reminding you of that every five minutes.”

Despite how much James hated it when Oliver pointed at the obvious, he couldn’t help but laugh. He paused, took a deep breath, and kept rubbing his belly as if processing how big he was getting. “Yeah,” he admitted after a second, feeling one of the babies press against his ribs while another one was kicking near his navel. “That part’s a lot more noticeable lately.”

“I’d say it’s been noticeable for a while,” Oliver said, grinning.

James snorted and then groaned as more kicks started coming. He took deep breaths, trying to calm himself as the babies seemed to be rolling into awkward positions to help Oliver emphasize his point. “Okay,” he said, panting slightly. “Alright, I get it. Your dad is right.”

Oliver smiled. “I love it when you call me like that,” he said softly, moving closer as James’s belly started moving even more.

Oliver stood and walked around the desk, stopping behind James and placing his hands carefully on the guy’s shoulders. The contact made James tense for a second out of instinct before he let himself sink back into the touch. His eyes closed briefly as the tension in his upper back eased slightly, but enough to matter.

“You don’t have to keep proving anything,” Oliver said while working his thumbs along the tight muscles at the base of James’s neck. “No one here thinks you’re slacking. If anything, you’re doing too much.”

James sighed, and his shoulders dropped slightly under Oliver’s hands. “I know,” he whispered. “I just don’t want to stop. If I slow down, it feels like everything I’ve worked for will fade away because I became a pregnant blimp.”

Oliver laughed and leaned forward to kiss James’s cheek and whisper in his ear. “You’ve probably forgotten that you’re carrying the boss’s children,” he said, reaching lower to caress James’s belly. “I never said you’re losing your job; I said you can slow down, sit for longer, relax a bit more, and maybe spend more time with me here.”

James shivered at the touch, and his head tilted back against Oliver’s body as the babies moved restlessly. “That sounds nice, but it doesn’t feel right,” he said, groaning as one of the babies kicked hard against Oliver’s hands. “Ugh! They’re really going at it tonight,” he said, focusing on the boss’ touch more than the strong movements.

Oliver’s hands paused for a second, staring at James’s belly for a while before resuming the motion. “You’ve been dealing with that all day?”

“For the last few months, yeah,” James said. “It doesn’t stop anymore. Your babies have decided to make me suffer as much as possible with those kicks.”

“My babies. When you say it like that—” There was a pause as Oliver’s hands moved in long strokes over James’s belly. “It makes me want to rub this big belly and kiss it all night long,” he whispered slowly, kissing James’s cheek again.

James relaxed even more into the touch, loving the sensation as his hormones made his horniness skyrocket. “Then don’t stop,” he said. “The belly’s yours anyway. They’re yours.”

“Only the babies are mine?” Oliver whispered.

“Ugh,” James groaned, aware of what Oliver meant. “I’m yours, boss.”

It was all it took. Within a few minutes, James was leaning forward against the desk, with his heavy belly bouncing and shaking as Oliver pounded hard behind him. Both men loved these moments, and even though they tried to resist letting themselves lose in pleasure, it was inevitable when they wanted each other so badly.

A few days later, Oliver stood near the window of his office while James reviewed the last of the day’s schedule updates. After everything they had gone through, he had finally made a life-changing decision. “You can’t keep doing this alone,” he said softly.

James looked up. “Doing what?”

Oliver gestured toward his massive belly. “All of it,” he said. “You’re moving in with me.”

“What?” James blinked, clearly caught off guard. “That’s not a small suggestion,” he said.

“I know,” Oliver replied. “But it makes sense. You’re closer to work, you have help if you need it, and I can make sure you’re taking care of yourself instead of pretending you’re fine.”

James hesitated, looking down at his pregnant belly. Before he could answer, the babies started moving even more.

Oliver stared at it in stunned fascination. “I honestly think that is a yes,” he said, smiling. “I think they just answered for you.”

James exhaled slowly. “Apparently they did,” he admitted, smiling. “Seems like they’re bossy, just like their dad,” he said as Oliver came closer with lust written on his face.
