january update!! (Patreon)

what's up!

i'd like to thank everyone for the positive reception to the wonderswan video, it was really fun to work on and irreparably altered my perspective on videogames possibly moreso than any other project so far (i hope it'll become apparent why in the future).

after the release of that video i gave myself a little bit of a holiday break, and as of now i'm still taking it easy and choosing not to work intensively on anything yet. as usual i've got a whole chunk of real-life things to sort out and i'm currently particularly feeling the pressure of that, meaning i might not be able to get much out anytime soon. that said...!

i've been working a lot more on the website recently, and posted a few articles over the past week including a "news" post on the switch 2, text versions of the first two "smudgebap lite" videos and a site-exclusive review of final fantasy VII. i'd like to post more on there, and will likely continue to make "smudgebap lite" as a video-ified series of blog posts rather than the other way around, so there will probably also be a lite video on final fantasy VII as well as other games i'll be writing about. "smudgebap lite" videos will remain exclusive to patreon, though i am planning to eventually compile & release them on youtube.

by the way the bunnyzone Xtreme discord, which is now patron-only, has been thriving. i'm really proud of the funky little community that's emerged there, even if we mostly just post about char aznable from mobile suit gundam. patreon should dump you in there automatically, but if it didn't and you still wanna join please send me a message on here for an invite link!!

when it comes to the next video i'll be working on, i'm not fully sure what'll be coming next but i have an idea for a smaller project i could do without it being too intensive. i'd like to test the waters to see if i can get away with a 20-30 minute video, because so far all my videos have been silly long and making them can get pretty tiring lol. thanks for the continued support everyone!!! i will not let you down i promi
