Performance Mixer 3.0.6 was a significant update that changes how the template functions in some aspects. Please read the manual and change notes at the bottom.

The Octatrack Performance Mixer 3.0 Template is a powerful tool that transforms live electronic performances, giving artists a creative edge when performing with drum machines and synthesizers. This updated version introduces 20 completely new effects, which haven’t appeared in previous templates. With a flexible 8-bar or 4-bar structure that easily syncs to the Octatrack's internal clock or any external clock source, you gain access to a wide selection of effects such as synced modulations, noise risers, comb filter sweeps, sidechain-style pumping, stutters, filters, and much more—all with intuitive, easy-to-use controls.

This setup lets you effortlessly build energy and tension during your performance, making it simple to deliver dramatic transitions and impactful drops. Additionally, the template includes customizable compressors and detailed sound-shaping controls, so you can tailor your sound precisely to your liking.

Like earlier versions, this template is structured around two distinct input busses, each with their own dedicated effects: Input A/B handles drums and percussion, while Input C/D takes care of melodic elements. Each input bus comes equipped with its own compressor and freeze delay effects, giving you independent control over each sound source.

Whether you're a seasoned performer or just starting out, this template is designed to inspire creativity during your live electronic music performances, helping you to fully engage and captivate your audience.

***PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL

This project ships with 2 Templates, an 8-bar Template for longer FX build ups, and a 4-bar Template for faster turnarounds. Both are a blast to play with and both still have the 8-bar master looper.

Octatrack Performance Mixer x.x Template Manual by EZBOT

All Banks and Patterns are populated with the Octatrack Performance Mixer Template at a default tempo of 120 BPM. The 4-bar template version's effects reach their crescendo at the end of 4 bars while the 8-bar version completes its modulation at the end of 8-bars. I recommend that you try both. The 4-bar version of the template is set to pattern scale of 64 steps and the 8-bar is set to a scale of 128 steps.

***Clicks and pops can be caused by unstable BPM from external clocking sources. To avoid this use a stable clocking source such as the Octatrack itself.

***Audio MIDI Channels are disabled by default.

- Effects with an asterisk have FREEZE delays.

- "ALL" refers to effects that effect the entire mix with the same effect on both inputs A/B and C/D.

***Be sure RECORD QUICK MODE is enabled in your system settings. --> PROJECT --> SYSTEM --> PERSONALIZE --> RECORD QUICK MODE (ENABLE)

***Transport Send/Receive, Clock Send/Receive, and Program Change Send are all active by default and set to MIDI channel 10. Do not send the Octatrack a clock source when you want the Octatrack to be the master clock. FUNC + MIDI to enter MIDI clock settings, here you can disable or change MIDI clock settings.

AUDIO ROUTING: Insert your DRUMS/PERCUSSION into the A/B inputs of the Octatrack and insert your MELODIC instruments into the C/D inputs. This is important for the effects to sound as intended.

***CUE MUTES TRACK MUST BE DISABLED FOR THIS TEMPLATE TO FUNCTION. Project -> System -> Personalize: CUE Mutes Track - Disabled/Un-checked.

***This template uses the CUE bus for it's recordings. DO NOT REMOVE CUE FROM TRACKS 3 OR 7.

TO RECORD:

For 3.0.4 Templates or below:

Method 1: Select Track 4 and PRESS REC-3 once, this will initiate a recording at the next 8 bars. Wait until you see the + (recording) symbol on track 4 and press REC-3 once. After the recording has finished and the + symbol is now a play arrow, cross fade to FX scene 16 with a swift motion (do not do this slowly) to switch to your recorded 8 bar loop.

On the Octatrack MK1 hold track 4 and press MIDI to initiate a recording and do it again after the recording starts to initiate the end of the recording.

Method 2: Press YES. Be sure you are not in step edit mode (no red record button). Select Track 4. Wait until you see the + (recording) symbol on track 4 and press REC-3 twice. After the recording has finished and the + symbol is now a play arrow, cross fade to FX scene 16 with a swift motion (do not do this slowly) to switch to your recorded 8 bar loop.

For 3.0.6 and above:

TO RECORD A 4-BAR LOOP:

Method 1: Press YES. This will initiate a 4-bar recording at the next 4-bars interval.

Method 2: Select Track 4 and PRESS REC-3. This will initiate a 4-bar recording at the next 4-bars interval.

4-Bar Recording Template: On the 4-bar effects version of the template, the default record mode is also 4-bars. To record a loop press YES. A 4-bar loop will be recorded at the next 4 bar turnaround.

***The Octatrack can not guess the BPM of samples longer than 4 bars above 160BPM. If you plan to use the live looping functionality above 160BPM you have these options:

Turn off time-stretch. In my templates you would do this on track 4 (On a per PART and per BANK basis)

Manually change the bar length in the audio editors attributes page so that it reads 8-bars (after you have finished recording the sample/loop)

Change to recording quantization to 4-bars by changing the RLEN (record length) in the REC 1 Edit page to 64 steps.

***You must leave TRACKS 3 and 7 CUED in order to record loops. The CUE bus is reserved for recording loops.

***Recording without record quick mode enabled will require you to hold track 4 and press REC-3 twice as opposed to just pressing REC-3 twice after the recording has initiated.

TO SAVE A RECORDING TO FILE: Press FUNC + REC 3 and choose "Save This Recording". This is useful for creating stems to save and use in other projects or to transfer to your computer.

COMPRESSORS: Separate compressors are available on both stereo input sets A/B and C/D. Template compressor settings apply a mild (tasteful imo) compression to your whole mix when COMPRESSOR mix is brought to 64 or 50%.

SIDECHAIN PUMPING: Sidechain pumping is available on all patterns and all parts. By default the pattern is 4 on the floor. To use the sidechain pumping effect turn up LFO 1 depth on Track 5. To adjust where the ducking occurs copy and paste the BRIGHT GREEN TRIGS on Track 5. You can externally trigger SIDECHAIN PUMPING by sending a MIDI note to CHANNEL 5 on the Octatrack.

STUTTER FX: FREEZE DELAYS are available separately on Tracks 1 and 5. To use the the FREEZE DELAY hold FUNC + DOWN ARROW and select DELAY CONTROL. GREEN button 9 controls the FREEZE DELAY for inputs A/B and GREEN button 13 controls the freeze delay for inputs C/D. Press 9 + 13 to FREEZE the entire mix. FREEZE DELAYS occur before effects are applied so you can hold a frozen buffer and then apply effects.

NOISE SWEEPS: To change to an alternate less resonant noise sweep double press T8 and select FLEX slot 1. This is on a per PART basis and Per BANK basis. You may see a "!" on your Track 8 Flex track when you bring the tempo above 200 BPM, that means the Octatrack can not guess the BPM of the white noise sample. This is no problem and you can ignore that. The white noise samples were made by an anonymous user. The sample pack is a called White Noise Tool Kit which I edited and updated for the Octatrack. You can change to a shepard's tone by switching to FLEX slot 3 on Track 8.

UPDATES:

4.5.25

Fixed a file error on the 8-bar template

3.26.25 - BIG UPDATE

Switched CUE mode to STUDIO mode to prevent CUE mutes track from silencing the audio

Adjusted riser track level to 64 so you have headroom for mixing the riser

Added alternative shepard's tone in FLEX slot 3 on TRACK 8

Adjusted multiple effects volumes, resonance, and distortion level

Fixed several LFO settings with custom LFO shapes

Switched filter for dj eq on the 4 and 8 bar loopers

Set headphone out to CUE for dj style cue mixing

Removed random midi notes on track 8

Set compressors to 50% mix for a parallel compression

Set default tempo to 120

Switched the 8-bar template to using a 4-bar looper: the 8 bar looper is too difficult (requires too many serial actions) and it doubles the recordings playback for tempos below 86 and above 170 (it halves the samples tempo)

Added Performance Mixer 3.0.6B, a slightly more DJ centric template. Read more about it below.

3.17.25

Added Performance Mixer 3.0B This is an alternate version of the template:

64 FX: Compressors have been replaced with DJ Filters on TRACK 1 and TRACK 5.

FX 1 Replacement: FX 1 on TRACK 4 (the 4-bar live looper track) is now a DJ Filter.

CUE in Studio Mode: CUE functionality has been updated to operate in Studio Mode.

Improved FX Sound: Adjustments were made to enhance the overall sound quality of some of the FX.

Noise Sweep Track Level Adjustments: The noise sweep track level has been set to 63, allowing for both positive and negative adjustments to better fit your mix.

12.4.24

The 4-bar template now records 4-bar loops by default. Press YES to record a 4-bar loop. Pattern scale is now set to 64 steps (4-bars) by default.

Pressing REC-3 while selected on Track 4 will begin a recording at the next 16th note instead of waiting for 4/8 bar turnarounds. On the 8-bar version PRESS YES to initiate a quantized recording on the next 8-bar turnaround, once recording has started, press REC-3 to tell the Octatrack to end the recording at the next 8-bars for a perfect loop.

Removed noise sweeps from scene 1 and 7 on SPACE (PART 1)

Compressors are now disabled by default on both templates.

7.21.24

Fixed pattern scaling on patterns 2-16 on the 4-bar template.

Adjusted several LFO times on the 4-bar template.

7.18.24

Updated the project to 3.0.2

Updated the 4-Bar template with consistent track lengths.

3.19.24

Updated the project to 3.0.1

Added a dedicated 4-bar sweep sample to the 4-bar template version so the Octatrack can correctly guess the tempo of the sample. This removes the "!" on track 8 for tempos above 128.

7.23.26

Added OXI E16 Integration

maybe I overlooked it, but it would be really convenient if the manual included your audio input routing (percussion goes to AB, melodic side to CD, iirc). great template, great videos, you're doing amazing work for the community, thanks so much <3

ezbot

I think I overlooked that, I will amend that.

Mike Morton

I'm starting to get a little confused about the difference between each template. Currently using the Ultimate FX 1.5.3. Should I switch to the performance template or not? Not complaining here btw as I love everything you do.

TJ

There is a very helpful comparison chart within the zip file!

ezbot

This template has many similar FX but offers 20 new ones and uses an 8-bar looper as opposed to the 4-bar looper from Ultimate FX Template

JTreee

Anyone try doing a hip-hop live set with this?

Mike Morton

Not purely hip-hop I'm afraid but something more along the lines of an Amon Tobin live set

Mike Morton

Thanks man, I'll most likely be checking it out

Bam Shanks

This is AMAZING! Giving it a run in now and it's a massive upgrade. Thanks EZBOT!

Ryan St Peter

Excellent template! Was just jamming with it and it was very quick to get going and play around with things. How would you go about

Ryan St Peter

*go about handling the 2-bus audio routing if you were only using a digitakt with a minilogue xd as your synthesizer, meaning you had both percussion and melodic elements coming out of the digi? The minilogue can be sequenced and come in the C/D input on the octa, but I was wondering if you had any different approach for when you're playing melodic samples off your digitakt since I know melodic stuff should ideally come through the C/D bus.

ezbot

I would just plug the minilogue into the CD and use the Digi on AB, it should still sound great

morasso

what's the method of recording with an OT MK1? Previous templates allowed us to just press yes to arm recording buffers, which i've gotten very used too lol. I know that the midi button often serves as SRC 3 for recording functions, but does the recording double tap work with it in this context? PS: thanks for these templates brother. really great stuff.

Brendan Sweeney

love this. any reason i'm getting audio out of Cue out and not main outputs?

ezbot

You should be plugged into the main outs not the CUE, the CUE is your recording track BUS

Brendan Sweeney

Tnx but there is no sound coming out of the main outs. Any idea why that wld be? I swapped back to an older template and I’m getting sound from the main outs but just not with the new template

ezbot

You have CUE MUTES TRACK enabled in your settings. Disable that :)

ezbot

Hold Track 4 and press MIDI = REC3 you have to hit it once to start and once the recording begins and you see the + symbol, do it again to tell it to stop after 8 bars.

Brendan Sweeney

of all the templates you've made which do you feel is more suited to experimental / slower electronic music..?

ezbot

hmmm.... I like the new one for that but ultimate fx and the remixer template have some cool functions

Nova

Sooo good

Amøñg thę Trëęš

Can someone help me ? I have a machinedrum mki which only has 32 steps and want to use this template…am i screwed!? Lol

James Argyle

Downloaded and gonna have a play with this tonight. :) I’m planning on using this with a mix of stereo and mono sources, depending on what I need. However, I will prob also typically use it with an external mixer. Reckon this should prob work fine with the following mapping: A -> Main L B -> Main R C -> Cue L D -> Cue R I’m thinking I prob just need to map T8 outputs to Cue but is there anything else I need to do? Are there any scenes which mess with panning of input tracks?

ezbot

You can change the scaling of the FX and the tracks manually but it will take some setup.

ezbot

The CUE in this template is being used as the RESAMPLE bus so I would advise against this. If you bring the CUE inputs back into the template you will have a double of the audio.

James Argyle

I think I can live without the resampling. Had a bit of a play and basically got it pretty close to what I’m looking for. Only issue I’m having is that the left/right channels are bleeding across the stereo field… Tried reducing the width on any FX that had a width control but that doesn’t help. Is there anywhere else that the template pans audio across the stereo field? Maybe it does this in a number of places?

James Argyle

Think it’s prob the ping pong setting in the delays that I missed. :)

James Argyle

Ignore the above… Had a stereo widener across my 2 bus! 😂

Cam Outlaw

so sick are you planning on releasing a update with these new fx for the ult 2ff tracks project?? That would be dope!

ezbot

Unfortunately the new FX in this template won't work with the 2FF but I am at this very moment working on the Hybrid Template 3.0 with 2 free flex tracks for sampling along with 16-20 new FX.

Jens

I am using Input A for a mono source at the moment. When I am using headphones looping does not really work. I will hear the original and the recorded source when I am crossfading. Using the main out works though. Why is this the case ? Thanks a lot !

ezbot

In this template the CUE outs is being used to feed the looper. So we are unable to listen anything but the mains.

Magnus

Dope Octa-Template bro, promising a lot of fun with it. :)

Charles Nerýs

Just about the most groundbreaking and inspiring thing i've done with my OT in a couple of years. thank you man

ezbot

Glad you are enjoying it :)

Dayzdubz

What is the best template which will give me flex tracks and the ability to record 8 bar loops the temples you have dive are great with all the performance fx bug if you want a straight template with 4 flex tracks and a simplified fx tracks which would anyone suggest as please

ezbot

I don't have a template with 4 free flex tracks and an 8 bar looper. I could make an FX template that has 4 Flex tracks and no looper or noise sweeps though.

ezbot

Hybrid Template is the closest answer to what you're after in my current arsenal of templates

Bam Shanks

Love this template so much! I saw in one of your videos, but can't remember which, that yo can increase the level of the risers. Where is that set?

Cristian Soto

Hello ! great work !! Is it possible to pre-listen with headphones before launching the track like on a mixer?

ezbot

I think an easier idea is to decrease the input volume to match the riser. But you can also lock the amp volume on riser scenes to a higher value

Bam Shanks

You raise a valid point. I am bashing the inputs pretty hard :) Thanks!

ezbot

In this template I am using the CUE bus to record the looper track but you can plug headphones in and “pre-listen” while you are in the looper scene.

Giacomo

Great! Does this template work also if I don't use external gear but only the octatrack? (Sorry for the silly question)

ezbot

If you replace the THRU machines on tracks 1/5 you can use those tracks

Chambre46

hey there, I see nine the 3.0 template the T3 & T5, the last neighbour tracks being cued. Am I right? If yes in what purpose

ezbot

I use the CUE bus to record the 8 bar live loop

ezbot

***CUE MUTES TRACK MUST BE DISABLED FOR THIS TEMPLATE TO FUNCTION. Project -> System -> Personalize: CUE Mutes Track - Disabled/Un-checked. ***This template uses the CUE bus for it's recordings. DO NOT REMOVE CUE FROM TRACKS 3 OR 7.

Pat LaBine

For Performance Mixer 3.0.2 (8) when I load it up the A-B C-D LEDs are lit but I can't hear anything. When I load Performance Mixer 3.0.2 (4) I get this error message: 2024-07-19 06:03:36 WARNING Bank file '/PRESETS/PERF MIXER 3.0.2 (4)/bank02.work' missing. Initializing to empty bank

Pat LaBine

Nevermind the first issue. I had Stupid Cue Mute Tracks enabled.

Pat LaBine

You sir, are awesome. :the_horns

Mntbighker

Haha, just returning to this after a while away (I got the Digitakt II). It was not working for me AT ALL..... annndd, I had stray midi on channel 11 from Oxi One totally screwing me. That's 2 hours of my life I'm not getting back ;-) Time to order the magnets if they are available at the moment. Let me just say that Matt can do everything possible to make his templates as friendly as possible. But there is no masking the sheer complexity of Elektron gear. It's a blessing and a curse. Probably a blessing for Matt, since it's job security. I'm a Linux admin, so I know the feeling.

Sebastian Carrizosa

Hi Matt my octatrack is freezing from one moment to another when I am using the performance template. Is this normal? is there a solution for this?

Akind

Hello, I didnt manage to record. I jave an MK1, i am in 4th track. I press track 4 and midi and nothing happens. So i just record the usual way (by pressing play in trigger mode, having choose my external source in the mixer). While I hear what I am recording, when I am finishing the recording and press track 4 and bank, I see the waveform of the sample but I can not listen to it with function +yes. Also if I put the triggers in track 4 with this sample, I still cannot her anything. (I have the cue mutes track disabled and the quick record mode enable). what I am doing wrong? Thnk you in advance :)

wasmarkhere

Great presets! I'm encountering an issue with some of the presets with freeze delays. For example 1. Chorus Riser * when I go from full wet to dry using the crossfader I get a lot of digital artifacts. Is this just the nature of adjusting these parameters from one extreme to the other with the crossfader? I noticed when I turn Lock ON on the delay effect the transition is clean but the feedback doesn't sound the same.

ezbot

That happens to the reverb sometimes, it’s an Octatrack problem. Switch out the reverb for another effect and then just reload the part and it will go back to the original reverb and it should be fixed. I think the issue usually happens on the melodic side but you can do both. It only takes a second.

ezbot

Freezing like completely frozen doesn’t work? That sounds like it could be a corrupt file. I would maybe download the template again and see if that fixes it you could try a factory reset as well.

ezbot

The looper track only plays when seen 16 is engaged

wasmarkhere

It's odd, the reverb switch didn't seem to fix it. When I changed the delay on the melodic side track 6 to lofi then back to delay manually it got rid of the artifacts on the delay when using the crossfader. But if just change the delay to lofi and reload the part it reverts back to the delay with artifacts. I'll keep playing around and see if I can sort it out.

ezbot

The delay on track one is the freeze delay, it will artifact with external clocks. The tape delay is much smoother but if you crave to tape the freeze effects will sound terrible

wasmarkhere

I'm running the Octatrack as the master clock. Seems like something with the track 6 delay is causing issues with mine. When I switch manually from the delay to another effect back to the delay it seems to sort out the artifacts. Maybe my machine is special :)

ezbot

I’d have to see it myself I think

wasmarkhere

Yeah, you're right when track 6 is set to another effect and back to delay it sets it as the tape delay and artifacts are gone. When I switch tape to off I get the noise again. Must just be the nature of that setting.

wasmarkhere

Looks like the time on the delay on track 6 is set to 48, but the time is 32 at full wet for 1. Chorus Riser effect. So I think it's just artifacts from the change in time from 48 to 32 when using the crossfader. If I set the original dry time to 32 to match the full wet time then it's clean across the crossfader movement for this effect. Thank you for your help with this.

wasmarkhere

Having a lot of fun with the template, made me boot up the Machinedrum again.

ezbot

That’s great! I wish I had one :)

Andrew Kuttor

hmm, so I am an idiot -- OT2 is mounted as USB, Perf Mixer archive is unzipped, and I am moving the unzipped archive into the OT2. When I open the mounted USB drive I see: Set 250104 PRESETS Now reading your guide, I open the set folder and dropped the unzipped template archive, so what I end up with is: Set 250104 ../PROJECT 240104 ../Octatrack Performance Mixer 3.0.4 by EZBOT ../AUDIO PRESETS Is that correct? I am asking because when I do that and then moe back to the OT2.. push the NO button to exist USB Mount, then

Andrew Kuttor

Ah I think I got it... don't user the parent foldr of the archive....so: Set 250104 ../PROJECT 240104P ../PERF MIXER 3.0.4 (4) ../PERF MIXER 3.0.4 (8) ../AUDIO PRESETS

ezbot

Unzip the folder and open the template folder inside. You choose either (4) or (8) version and drop that folder in with all your other projects, and your good to go.

Larry van Doorn

i feel stupi dmy octa is buttsparking new but i bought the octa 1 version i saw crazy stuff on how to update the newest firmwar ei followe dyour things but i canot open it says itds corrputed or i need a new version os. but i got dp5-1_051.25H?

Joe Encarnacion

I'm experiencing an issue where the master looper (PT 3.0.4) seems to be a half step or so out of sync with the live audio. The result is that it stutters a but when I cut the crossfade over to B. Am I doing something wrong?

ezbot

Check the RETRIG on that track

ezbot

That doesn’t sound right, are you getting the firm was from the Elektron website?

TJ

THANKS!!! But where is it? I do not see Octatrack Performance Mixer 3.0.5 by EZBOT.zip Also, what is "Performance Mixer 3.0B by EZBOT.zip" ? Is this something else? Why does it have a different naming scheme? I understand that you are so deep inside this it is very obvious for you, but e.g. for me, I am just using OT as one tool of many and I am not so deeply involved with your presets and their naming, I am just using them (sometimes). Not complaining, just explaining my view as a patron. Keeping the naming schemes consistent would be very helpful. Also btw. it is really very nice that you take the efforts to maintain a changelog, but the DATEFORMAT is very confusing, as it is similar to version numbers. Would be better to use not ambiguous and ease to understand international date formats like e.g. %YYYY-%MM-%DD (YEAR-MONTH-DAY) what is easy to understand in all countries around the world. As said before, it would be helpful to have just ONE single place to download all the templates, I always get lost in the labyrinth of these many templates. I see there is one post at the start of your Patreon site, but it leads to several other places where there are downloads, too. You know, one simple "git pull" would be great to have for keeping all these templates up2date, I am not sure if Patreon offers something similar, but maybe you could just offer access to a private github repo for patreons, that will save a lot of time for many people... However, still happy with your work and very thankful! Hopefully I was able to transport my thoughts in a positive way, not meant as criticism. English no speak, so maybe easy to misunderstand, sorry.

ezbot

3.0.5 is the addition of Performance Mixer 3.0B. There is an update section at the end of the Performance Mixer post with dates and changes. Hope that helps! I'll be releasing a video update explaining more soon but I wanted to give people my work now before I made the video. All of the Templates are in one place on the Patreon Rewards Post that is pinned to the top of my Patreon. It doesn't make sense for me to have them downloadable in one spot so I designed it to be a link tree to the original posts where discussion and downloads can happen.

Marcus Fiebranz

Hey Matt, first of all, thank you very much for your templates, they help me to perform and are simply perfect. Has it been reported with the 3.0B that the Octa freezes? I had it several times and downgraded to 3.0.4 again. I know it is Beta, but i want to inform you :)Many thanks and best regards from Hamburg

ezbot

It has not been reported, I’ll have to look into it

Marcus Fiebranz

please let me know if I can test something :)

Sometimes you just need to redownload it

ezbot

I just tested it out and there are no issues here. This is usually a download issue, maybe Patreon's servers are weak sauce or something. If downloading it again doesn't fix it, let me know.

Marcus Fiebranz

Just downloaded a second time, works fine at the moment, thanks Matt

TJ

Actually, that would be really great - offering ALL templates in ONE zip file, always at the same position. Have a nice weekend!

Is there a recommended way to keep resampled audio in the mix WHILE also reintroducing inputs on A/B and C/D. For example, I record my 4 bars, scene over to the recorded audio, but then transition back to my instruments WITH the recorded loop still playing in the mix? This has been my biggest limitation with using these live, its very similar to only having 2 decks when using CDJs, sometimes you want to keep the energy from a loop going, but if you have to transition out of it in order to get a deck back things can end up feeling empty. hopefully that makes sense! I'd be happy to give up the risers on track 8 in order for this to work (if its necessary to have a dedicated track)

ezbot

You could manually bring track 4 volume up from -64 and when you’re finished, use FUNC + CUE to reload the part

you the best <3

i have a very noob question, sometimes i somehow manage to mute one of the buses on a single part, reloading fixes it but i am just curious what i can be messing up. i only switch fx and use the fader, no messing with parameters

ezbot

might be a MIDI message from an external box

Instantly usable fun - thanks EZ.

Hi Matt! For some reason, the looper doesn't work on my Octatrack. I've set quick record on, and I see the + at the beginning of the 4 bar, but in any of the 4 parts, when fading to 16, it keeps playing the live sound coming into ABCD. Any clues? (Trying with freshly loaded 3.0.6 projects)

ezbot

What values are locked when you use scene 16? Do your other effects work?

Roc AR

All other effects work, yes! By locked values, which track are you referring to? (i assume 4), but let me know and I can check

Roc AR

I see VOL is locked to 0 in scene 16 track 4 (as it should be) and it's at -64 by default, but the fader doesn't have any effect on it. Also I don't see any VOL locks on any of the other tracks.

Roc AR

If you have any other ideas/tips on what could be wrong, I'd appreciate it:), I'll try reflashing the Octatrack with the latest firmware and re-loading the templates tomorrow morning.

Desmond Choo

I'm seeing this issue as well did you manage to get this resolved? I'm on the latest OT firmware.

Roc AR

Hey, not really. I tried everything, and EZBOT just started ignoring me. Pretty bummed about it :/

Desmond Choo

I just figured it out for my case, I was using the headphones to monitor the audio, that by default has been set to monitor the CUE channel. Change this to monitor the MASTER channel if using headhpones. The Main Outs should work.

ezbot

Hey, I am not ignoring you, I haven’t seen any notifications from this post

ezbot

Are you using the headphones out?
