Erica Synths recently released the LXR, and it's definitely worth checking out. One of the standout features of the LXR is its full range of drum voices - six in total - which are capable of producing a wide variety of drum sounds- that actually sound good. Not to mention it is also fully subtractive synthesizer with all your classic waveforms and filter options.

In addition to its drum voices, the LXR also boasts a powerful sound design engine, with over 30 adjustable parameters per voice. This allows users to really fine-tune their drum sounds and create unique and recallable custom drum kits. This is something not often seen in Eurorack, presets are a bit uncommon so this is very welcome feature imo.

One thing to note is that the LXR is available in both desktop (LXR-02) and eurorack versions. While the desktop version does come with a built-in sequencer, some users may prefer the flexibility of using a separate eurorack sequencer with the LXR. The eurorack version of the LXR-02 does not come with volume faders, but it is otherwise identical to the desktop version in terms of features and capabilities.

I think it's a fantastic piece of kit and highly recommend it.

Take it easy,

Matt

The LXR-02s been out for a year or so, nothing new here. Though I love mine which I purchased directly from Erica. And saved $89-90 over a US purchase. This was when the exchange rate for Euros was especially tilted towards US Dollar.

I guess what’s new is it’s being controlled by a modular sequencer and modular cv modulation which is far greater fidelity then MIDI and is customizable. I do like it, it’s got a great sound!
