Holy smokes, I was so chatty I didn't actually get any music work done but I had an amazing evening in the studio none the less. I did manage to perform two of my favorite tracks nearly "flawlessly" but of course after reviewing I noticed a few hiccups, mostly time related. We talked about all kinds of music-related topics, like the Polyend Play, the challenges of performing with modular synthesizers, the importance of not getting in your own head during a live show, and the role of effects in techno production.

One thing we discussed was the power of dissonance in music. While melody is important and can also be a hindrance. We also talked about why in Techno production leaning into the unexpected and incorporating dissonance can help you get the most out of your patterns.
