When I started this video, I didn't even realize that there would be four ways to set up external audio effects. The Octatrack manual only explains one of them, and they don't even tell you that you have to turn on delay compensation in that tutorial if you are using an external synthesizer. I hope this tutorial is helpful and answers some questions for you about sends, inserts, and gain staging.
