What a great lesson and great arrangement of my favorite holiday song. I’m going to work on this to play for the family. Thank you so much Alex for the wonderful lessons and great inspiring insights. It’s helped make a great difference in my playing and practice. Wishing you a wonderful holiday!

Great tune and lesson. I wasn't sure I could do it, but actually, I can play a lot of this. Kind of surprising myself. Love that ES-175 you are playing on this one!

Hans

Very nice arrangement. I rallye enjoy it. And you have a great sound with your guitar. Thanks for it.

Alex, another piece of art...THANK YOU is the unison words of all of us. I am glad that we have some time off to digest it (although I love your lessons). Please, correct me, if I am wrong. What I learned today: a. follow the melody; b. dig on "classes" of chords (which player would do the job in this position?); c. start with the basic chords that would fit well in that cadence (like F7 or G7 as a dominant option for C etc.); d. taste other chords (more or less spiceness); e. if it demands a difficult fingering, practice before give up, remembering that -> f. simple is not necessarily poor (sounds talks...). Alex: do you remember ou conversation about Ted Greene and you said "if I were 1%..."? Here the proof. For me, you just showed us 150% of TG. Please, do it another 300 times and I may get it kkk. No joke now: in my opinion, that is EXACTLY what thousands of guitar players are looking forward to learning. And there is no other Alex delivering... A blessed (and healing) break to you and all your followers. Sorry for any typo around...

Another masterpiece of a lesson with the most beautiful, melancholy music. Thank you!! 🙏 💫✨

I was literally just thinking I'd like to learn one of the songs off of this album! Thanks Alex

Glenn Taylor

Thanks for walking us through it calmly, with all those little insights. Greatly appreciated.

Ray

Just beautiful, Alex. I’ve always loved this song, and this is a superb arrangement. Thank you!

Ron Bogdanoff

You can play an arrangement like that year 'round!!

Alex Farran Guitar

As I said before, there is no other amazing musician and teacher like you, Alex! We THANK YOU for shedding light on our guitar journeys.

Alex, I got an email from Patreon this morning about the Q&A #1, that I believe happened last year. This is outdated info. Is it possible to watch the video of such session? Last year I wasn't enrolled as a patreon member yet. Anyhow, I loved the idea of Q&A..

Alex Farran Guitar

Hi buddy, yes Patreon notified everyone of the post being added to a new “Q&A” I made. You can watch it now, it doesn’t matter that you weren’t enrolled at the time. You have unlocked access to all of my posts; past, present and future! So go ahead and watch that video… hopefully you’ll get something useful out of it!

MarkF

What a beautiful tune and lesson it might have the most chord voicing descriptions and choices from all your lessons I’ve seen to date. Amazing to have this resource of lessons at our fingertips. Very grateful.

Ran Bush

Hi Alex - I'll tag onto this thread that Marinho started; Please make this a new thread if you see fit. I don't remember when I joined but I see that the video is dated "Patreon Q&A #1 , Aug 21, 2023 ". When and where do we submit questions for Q&A #2, #3, #X ? Have you been compiling questions from your current Patreonistas, and is that how future Q&A videos will be created? Thanks as always, you're the only Patreon creator that I know of that offers this Q&A feature.

Alex Farran Guitar

Hey buddy, you've not missed anything so don't worry. The Q&A came back to the forefront as I added it to a "collection" page here, and Patreon will have notified everybody about that which may have given the impression that it was new. But like you said, it's from August 2023 and so far is the only Q&A of its type I've done. A week before filming it I put up a post on here asking for everybody's questions. I did a Q&A this year in July, but it was a livestream one so the questions were not pre-prepared. You can watch that one too, whenever you like... we got into some interesting topics! I will do another Q&A soon, maybe at the start of the New Year. In which case I'll make a post requesting your questions.

Alex Farran Guitar

I'm so glad you enjoyed it Mark, I always like to cover a lot of ground re: chord voicings etc in my chord melody lessons. Many more still to come too of course!
