You’re the best Alex, well…after Marc that is 😉

Carl McAndrew

Great stuff - beautifully executed!

Man this was a great treat indeed. Love this tune and Marc's playing. Any tone tips? Reverb certainly and hearing some tremolo or vibrato too...

Alex Farran Guitar

Thanks Sam! Yes, you're right, some fast tremolo on there, also a quick slapback echo (single repeat, around 150ms delay time), and also a touch a overdrive courtesy of a "Klon(e)" type pedal called The Decibelics Golden Horse. Also a touch of reverb but not too much or it'll drown out the slapback echo.

Excellent lesson. I really enjoyed this one.

Hi Alex, could you throw in a quick lesson on the rhythm guitar...it sounds like "Boom (E string,) rake, cha, cha, cha...." kind of a tricky "Mamba?"

Zo Falu

Great pick, thx Alex

I’m digging back into all the Tom Waits lessons. This a very fun one. The tabs stop near the end when it moves to Am though. I’m trying to work it out myself, but my ear and brain aren’t quite there yet.

Glad you're enjoying the Waits videos buddy! Ah yes, well that's where the solo ends, so after that I'm simply messing around with the chords. Am, Em, B7 etc.

Alex, all your lessons are amazing. The Waits/ Ribot ones are so gorgeous… Thanks for making me want to grab my guitar like never before 👌
