Brilliant. If I had one question, it would be this. How did you get your candle to burn down so evenly?! 😂

Alex Farran Guitar

😂 quality candle = quality even burn. P.F candle’s “teak and tobacco” 👌🏻🔥

Peter Kelly

and if you burn the candle at both ends?

Lindsay Martin

This is exactly the right level of theoretical and technical complexity. Thank you.

Gert De Groof

Did you just play through an entire Wes Montgomery tutorial video without playing a single octave line? Might have to watch it again to be sure….no, definitely have to watch it many times again for all the great licks provided. The incredible jazz guitar of WM was also one of my introductions in jazz guitar, there was no way back since then. Thanks man, true masterclass right here. Take care.

Gert De Groof

That Im(6) playing over the IV really is an eye-opener for me…of course! Thanks a million!

Alex Farran Guitar

So glad to hear it Lindsay!.. always tough to get the balance just right!

Alex Farran Guitar

Haha, thanks Gert. Indeed, a Wes lesson that doesn't focus on the octaves!.. although maybe one of those will be coming soon too ;)

Alex Farran Guitar

It's so great isn't it!?.. and it's quite easy to think about which is always nice too!

Peter Carrillo

Please oh please, Days of Wine and Roses

Alex Farran Guitar

You must be reading my mind! Full lesson on Wes's version of that coming soon! ;)

Matt

I Love this one by Wes I'm going to dive into this one as soon as I'm finished with Stormy Monday. Stormy Monday has been such a great lesson for me. Your Teaching and playing on that Video is just amazing. your explanations are so detailed, it shows that you really want us to get it. I have really enjoyed learning that song. Thank you Alex for that Video and all your other ones.

Tom

Alex your musical sensibilities are right in line with mine jazz/blues! Thank you! Days of Wine and Roses, and more Kenny Burrell! Love it and your teaching style.

Alex Farran Guitar

Thank you Tom, I’m glad we’re on the same page stylistically! Days of wine and roses coming very soon!
