Waltz For Django by Antonio Forcione, performed by Alex Farran (Yamaha NTX900FM) Tabs and other bits and pieces will be appearig on my facebook page soon, so go there and "like" that... https://www.facebook.com/alexfarranmusic I love this song... written by the incredible Antonio Forcione in tribute to the amazing Django Reinhardt. If you've never heard him, I highly recommend rushing out to buy anything and everything Antonio Forcione has recorded! Also, search for him on Youtube... he does some incredible stuff... "flamencomedy" is certainly worth a look too! He is surely one of the most inspirational musicians of all time. In this video I just play the main themes of the tune... haven't worked the rest out yet! ;) I used my Yamaha NTX900FM for both Rhythm and Lead parts on this. I was in a bit of a rush so I simply D.I'd the guitar... but usually I'd opt for blending that signal with a room mic or 2 for a more natural sound. I had a few issues trying to sync the video and audio correctly in iMovie, but I think it's close enough! I strongly recommend working things out by ear, but if I get enough requests to write out a tab for this, I'll do it. I will be consistently adding more and more videos to my channel, as well as some proper lessons, so please, if you like what you hear/see, lick the subscribe button to be alerted to any new videos. I have a few things up on Soundcloud too and intend to add much more to that also... http://soundcloud.com/alex-farran And my duets with the amazing Merryn Ashwell... http://soundcloud.com/merryn-alex Also, if you're interested in lessons, I teach professionally from my home studio in Nottingham, UK but also offer Skype lessons for Worldwide students. I teach a wide range of styles, but specialise in Blues, Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Acoustic, Rock and World Music. Thanks for watching/listening :)
