Today I got a very exciting email from Nacho telling me my guitar has shipped! He also linked me to an album of professional pictures of my guitar and immediately I wanted to share it with you guys.. some gratuitous guitar porn in this album.. especially the hi-res close up shots near the end!

So excited to get this guitar in my hands!.. not long to wait now! I'll be uploading an exclusive "unboxing and first impressions" kind of video for you lovely people supporting me here on Patreon.

I’m really sorry you’ve been scammed. You ordered a new guitar and they’re sending a wreck. You’ll have to get it resprayed and all the rusty bits replaced, but I’m sure it will be ok and look great once you’ve carefully written ‘Fender’ on the headstock with a biro.

Hey Alex, Congrats! I'm a new member, so apologies for the next question as I'm sure it's common knowledge, what Tele are you playing currently? I'll be super interested to hear your thoughts and comparisons when it arrives. I hoped to try one at Vintage Guitar Emporium just before christmas but the Nacho they were expecting had yet to arrive. I did get to try a nash and an LSL as well as an original '58. All were predictably wonderful but I was shocked at how good the LSL was. the LSL & Nash were about £2.5K used and I know the Nacho is a step up again so can't wait for some feedback and comparisons against any of the above you might be familiar with. It has to be the most beautiful blackguard I have ever seen. Congratulations! Did you have it modeled on a specific 52 Telecaster that Tadeo Gomez worked on? Or is it a mix of features you liked? Are the frets stainless steel? same width as original but higher? I was trying to figure out the wiring but did not have the patience. It seems to be a 67 wiring? Did you use log pots for both the volume and the tone? .05 ohm capacitor? Don't feel obligated to answer all the questions I am throwing at you. In any case, wish you and your Nacho the best of playing.

Alex, I'm cuious, is the Nachocaster for lack of a better term "vintage specific". I mean, is the neck the thick baseball bat of the 50's, or can you get that customized to your preferance? Thanks

In this case it’s pretty much vintage specific, with a neck profile based on one of Nacho’s own vintage teles. But, when ordering you can choose pretty much any profile you like, including more modern options so it’s all very much down to the individual.
