Valerie, in questo set, sembra oltrepassare il corpo stesso.

La luce le scorre addosso, ne segue le curve, si ferma sulle tensioni delle pose. Mani, piedi, schiena, gambe: tutto entra nel disegno. Ogni gesto costruisce simmetrie, intrecci, geometrie che rendono queste immagini molto più di una semplice sequenza di scatti.

C’è fascino, certo. Ma c’è anche qualcosa di più raro: la capacità di trasformare il corpo in forma, ritmo, visione.

Ed è proprio questo che rende Symmetry of Desire uno dei set più ricchi, più studiati e più alti che io abbia realizzato con Valerie.

Valerie, in this set, seems to move beyond the body itself.

Light runs across her, follows every curve, rests on the tension of each pose. Hands, feet, back, legs: everything becomes part of the design. Every gesture builds symmetries, interweavings, geometries that make these images far more than a simple sequence of shots.

There is fascination, of course. But there is also something rarer: the ability to turn the body into form, rhythm, vision.

And that is exactly what makes Symmetry of Desire one of the richest, most studied and most elevated sets I have created with Valerie.

Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Ci sono alcuni set in cui il corpo che fotografo mi appare come un oggetto leggendario, quasi alieno, distante; e a me non resta che documentarne la bellezza con ammirazione.

Altre volte, invece, il corpo è tutt’altro.Vivo, in continuo mutamento, così magnetico da alterare la percezione stessa dello spazio intorno. E allora non mi resta che esserne attratto, assistendo a qualcosa che si manifesta davanti all’obiettivo come un vero spettacolo.

Valerie è così.Un misterioso oggetto cosmico che, con le sue pose, sembra piegare spazio e tempo.

Il suo corpo non è semplicemente un soggetto estetico: incanta nel movimento, come se avesse un’espressività propria, autonoma, che va oltre il viso. In questo set Valerie abita il suo corpo — oppure è il suo corpo ad abitare lei — e ne dirige i movimenti con gesti simmetrici, pose in cui nasconde e svela, espone e protegge, mentre la luce scolpisce una silhouette che si staglia nel buio.

E tutto questo con l’eleganza e la grazia che contraddistinguono una modella che ormai, su questa pagina, è diventata una vera e propria icona.Forse uno dei set più alti che abbiamo realizzato assieme.

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

There are some sets in which the body I photograph appears to me like a legendary object, almost alien, distant; and all I can do is document its beauty with admiration.

Other times, instead, the body is something else entirely.Alive, in constant transformation, so magnetic that it alters the perception of the space around it. And then all I can do is be drawn in, witnessing something that manifests in front of the lens like a true spectacle.

Valerie is like that.A mysterious cosmic object that, through her poses, seems to bend space and time.

Her body is not simply an aesthetic subject: it enchants through movement, as if it had an expressive force of its own, beyond the face itself. In this set Valerie inhabits her body — or perhaps it is her body that inhabits her — directing its movements through symmetrical gestures, poses that conceal and reveal, expose and protect, while the light carves out a silhouette rising from the dark.

And all of this comes with the elegance and grace that define a model who has, by now, become a true icon on this page.Perhaps one of the highest sets we have created together.
