In the new Director’s Cut Backstage – Chapter II, my FANATICs return on set with us: laughter, complicity, spontaneous moments, the first sets of the day, and that incredible spark that turned the shooting with Valerie into something much more alive than a simple backstage.

From the outside, you can see a photograph.

Inside here, you see how it is born.

You see the relationship with the model, the atmosphere changing, the moment when a joke, a pose or a glance becomes part of the shooting itself.

Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Oggi torniamo sul set con Valerie, con la seconda parte del suo Director’s Cut Backstage.

Questa volta ho scelto di pubblicare un video più lungo, concentrandomi sui primi due set della giornata. Non volevo fare un semplice backstage veloce, una raccolta di clip messe insieme solo per mostrarvi qualche posa tra uno scatto e l’altro. Con Valerie non avrebbe avuto senso.

Perché questa volta c’era molto di più.

C’erano le fotografie, certo. C’era la sua sensualità naturale davanti all’obiettivo, quel modo così spontaneo e magnetico di muoversi, posare, giocare con la camera. Ma c’erano anche le risate, le battute, le piccole scenette nate sul momento, quella frizzantezza continua che ha trasformato lo shooting in una giornata davvero speciale.

Con lei si è creato subito un feeling bellissimo. Non solo dal punto di vista fotografico, ma proprio umano. E credo che in questi video si percepisca benissimo: Valerie non è semplicemente una modella che posa, è una presenza viva, spigliata, divertente, capace di riempire lo studio anche quando non sta facendo nulla di “preparato”.

In questo secondo capitolo, secondo me, si vede ancora meglio questa sua doppia anima: da una parte la modella capace di rientrare subito nel mood, di cambiare posa, sguardo ed energia con estrema naturalezza; dall’altra la ragazza che scherza, improvvisa, ride, propone, gioca con me e con la camera, rendendo il set molto più vivo di quanto qualunque fotografia finale possa raccontare.

È proprio per questo che ho deciso di raccontare questo shooting con più calma, set dopo set.

Perché voi FANATICs non vedete solo le fotografie finite, non vedete solo il risultato finale senza censure. Entrate anche nel modo in cui quelle immagini nascono: l’atmosfera, il dialogo, gli imprevisti, la complicità, il momento in cui un’idea diventa posa e una posa diventa fotografia.

Ed è questa, secondo me, una delle cose più belle dell’essere qui dentro: non fermarsi alla fotografia finale, ma entrare nel clima del set, vedere come nasce un’immagine, capire come una battuta, uno sguardo o un’improvvisazione possano diventare parte dello shooting stesso.

Voglio ringraziare davvero tutti voi che avete votato nella chat dedicata e avete scelto proprio questo video. Continuate a partecipare quando ve lo chiedo, perché per me è importantissimo capire cosa desiderate vedere, quali contenuti vi incuriosiscono di più e quali percorsi volete seguire da vicino.

Ci sono ancora tanti contenuti di Valerie da condividere con voi, e voglio farlo nel modo giusto: senza bruciare tutto in fretta, ma dando spazio alla bellezza di ogni set, all’energia della giornata e a quella complicità rara che rende questo shooting così speciale.

Oggi, quindi, si torna dentro quella giornata.

E sono contento di farlo con voi, che avete scelto di seguire questo lavoro non solo nelle fotografie finite, ma anche in tutto quello che succede intorno allo scatto. 🎥

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

Today we return on set with Valerie, with the second part of her Director’s Cut Backstage.

This time I chose to publish a longer video, focusing on the first two sets of the day. I did not want to make a simple quick backstage, a collection of clips put together just to show you a few poses between one shot and the next. With Valerie, that would not have made sense.

Because this time there was much more.

There were the photographs, of course. There was her natural sensuality in front of the lens, that spontaneous and magnetic way of moving, posing, playing with the camera. But there were also the laughs, the jokes, the little scenes born in the moment, that constant spark that turned the shooting into a truly special day.

With her, a beautiful feeling was created immediately. Not only from a photographic point of view, but on a human level too. And I think you can clearly feel it in these videos: Valerie is not simply a model who poses, she is a living, bright, playful presence, capable of filling the studio even when she is not doing anything “prepared”.

In this second chapter, in my opinion, you can see this double nature even better: on one side, the model who can immediately get back into the mood, changing pose, gaze and energy with extreme naturalness; on the other, the girl who jokes, improvises, laughs, suggests, plays with me and with the camera, making the set much more alive than any final photograph could ever tell.

That is exactly why I decided to tell this shooting more slowly, set after set.

Because you FANATICs do not only see the finished photographs, you do not only see the final uncensored result. You also enter the way those images are born: the atmosphere, the dialogue, the unexpected moments, the complicity, the moment when an idea becomes a pose and a pose becomes a photograph.

And this, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful things about being here: not stopping at the final photograph, but entering the atmosphere of the set, seeing how an image is born, understanding how a joke, a glance or an improvisation can become part of the shooting itself.

I truly want to thank all of you who voted in the dedicated chat and chose this video. Keep taking part when I ask you, because for me it is extremely important to understand what you want to see, which contents make you more curious, and which paths you want to follow more closely.

There is still a lot of Valerie content to share with you, and I want to do it in the right way: without burning everything too quickly, but giving space to the beauty of each set, to the energy of the day, and to that rare complicity that makes this shooting so special.

So today, we return inside that day.

And I am happy to do it with you, who have chosen to follow this work not only in the finished photographs, but also in everything that happens around the shot. 🎥
