Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Questo post esiste anche perché lo avete voluto voi.

Quando vi ho chiesto quale modella avreste voluto riportare al centro della pagina per il grande contenuto di fine mese, Sofia LR è uscita fuori con una forza chiarissima. E ve lo dico sinceramente: mi ha fatto molto piacere, perché Sofia è stata una di quelle presenze arrivate quasi in punta di piedi, senza il peso di una grande esperienza alle spalle, ma capaci poi di lasciare un segno molto più forte del previsto.

Sofia LR – The Complete Story non è una semplice raccolta di foto già viste. È il suo percorso finalmente rimesso insieme: set già pubblicati, immagini rimaste fuori fino a oggi, fotografie ritrovate durante l’editing, il glamour più accattivante di Sottrazione e soprattutto Istinto, un intero capitolo inedito che avevo lasciato da parte e che, riguardandolo con calma, mi ha sorpreso davvero.

All’inizio pensavo fosse uno di quei set rimasti indietro.

Poi ho iniziato a lavorarlo.

E lì mi sono accorto che dentro c’era qualcosa che non avevo considerato abbastanza: uno sfondo nero, un body nero, il corpo che emergeva dalla luce a frammenti, braccia, gambe, volto, pose tese, punti di vista dall’alto, inquadrature più basse, espressioni molto più intense di quanto ricordassi. Non il set più morbido di Sofia, non il più immediatamente glamour, ma forse proprio per questo uno dei più interessanti.

Dentro Istinto c’è una Sofia diversa.

Meno delicata, più fisica, più concentrata, quasi sorpresa anche lei dal personaggio che stavamo tirando fuori. Ed è questo che mi ha colpito tornando su quelle foto: non sembravano immagini messe lì solo per completare un Full Shooting, ma un pezzo vero del suo percorso, qualcosa che meritava di essere recuperato e finalmente mostrato nel modo giusto.

Per questo vi ringrazio davvero per averla scelta.

Mi avete dato il motivo perfetto per tornare su tutto il materiale, rimetterlo in ordine, finirlo come meritava e dare spazio anche a quello che era rimasto nascosto. E ringrazio naturalmente anche Sofia, perché non è scontato mettersi davanti all’obiettivo così, fidarsi, lasciarsi guidare, passare da outfit più particolari a immagini più eleganti, da momenti più morbidi a qualcosa di più intenso, sempre con quella sua miscela di timidezza, dolcezza e malizia che tanti di voi hanno notato subito.

Questo è uno di quei post che mi fanno piacere proprio perché non nascono solo da una mia decisione.

Nascono da una scelta vostra, da un materiale che continuava a chiedere attenzione e da una modella che, senza fare troppo rumore, è riuscita a restare addosso a molti più occhi di quanto immaginassi.

Gustatevelo con attenzione, miei carissimi FANATICs.

Guardate i set che già conoscete, cercate le immagini nuove, soffermatevi su Istinto e ditemi se anche per voi questo capitolo meritava davvero di essere ritrovato.

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

This post exists also because you wanted it.

When I asked you which model you wanted to bring back to the center of the page for the big end-of-month content, Sofia LR came out with a very clear strength. And I have to say it honestly: I was really happy about it, because Sofia was one of those presences who arrived almost on tiptoe, without the weight of a great experience behind her, but then managed to leave a much stronger mark than expected.

Sofia LR – The Complete Story is not simply a collection of photographs you have already seen. It is her journey finally brought back together: previously published sets, images that had remained outside until today, photographs rediscovered during editing, the most captivating glamour of Sottrazione, and above all Istinto, an entire unreleased chapter that I had left aside and that, looking at it again with calm, truly surprised me.

At first, I thought it was one of those sets that had simply been left behind.

Then I started working on it.

And there I realized that there was something inside it I had not considered enough: a black background, a black bodysuit, the body emerging from the light in fragments, arms, legs, face, tense poses, points of view from above, lower angles, expressions much more intense than I remembered. Not Sofia’s softest set, not the most immediately glamorous one, but perhaps exactly for this reason one of the most interesting.

Inside Istinto, there is a different Sofia.

Less delicate, more physical, more focused, almost surprised herself by the character we were bringing out. And this is what struck me when I returned to those images: they did not feel like photographs placed there just to complete a Full Shooting, but like a real piece of her journey, something that deserved to be recovered and finally shown in the right way.

That is why I truly thank you for choosing her.

You gave me the perfect reason to return to all the material, put it back in order, finish it as it deserved, and give space also to what had remained hidden. And of course I also thank Sofia, because it is not obvious to stand in front of the lens like this, to trust, to let yourself be guided, to move from more unusual outfits to more elegant images, from softer moments to something more intense, always with that mixture of shyness, sweetness and mischief that so many of you noticed immediately.

This is one of those posts I am happy about precisely because it was not born only from my decision.

It was born from your choice, from material that kept asking for attention, and from a model who, without making too much noise, managed to remain in far more eyes than I had imagined.
