Buongiorno miei carissimi Patreons,

mi sono allontanato dallo studio per prendere il cellulare e, quando sono rientrato, Veronica era già davanti alla luce, senza veli, pronta per iniziare a scattare.

La cosa che mi ha colpito non è stata soltanto la rapidità del gesto, ma la naturalezza assoluta con cui è successo. Un secondo prima stavamo sistemando le cose, un secondo dopo lei era lì, come se il set fosse cominciato da solo: tranquilla, elegante, perfettamente a suo agio, con quella sicurezza calma che non puoi fingere davanti a una fotocamera.

Ed è stato esattamente il modo in cui Veronica è entrata su questa pagina.

Avevo il suo contatto da più di un anno. Ci eravamo scritti, c’era stata più volte l’idea di organizzare uno shooting, poi per un motivo o per un altro non eravamo mai riusciti a fissare davvero. Alla fine è bastata una giornata che si è liberata quasi all’improvviso, un messaggio mandato al volo, la sua disponibilità immediata, e nel giro di due giorni Veronica era nel mio studio.

Fine giugno, caldo, estate addosso, pochissimo tempo per costruire un concept complesso. Eppure avevo la sensazione che potesse funzionare, perché già parlandoci per chat mi era sembrata una modella sveglia, creativa, presente, una di quelle persone con cui puoi permetterti anche di improvvisare senza sentire il set scivolare via dalle mani.

E infatti è bastato pochissimo per capire che la scommessa era giusta.

Veronica è romana, giovane, bellissima, ma soprattutto ha una dimestichezza rara con lo studio fotografico. Non ho visto imbarazzo, esitazioni, rigidità o quelle piccole tensioni che a volte accompagnano l’inizio di uno shooting. Lei è entrata nel lavoro con una tranquillità quasi spiazzante, ascoltando, proponendo, muovendosi con naturalezza e rendendo subito credibile anche quello che stavamo costruendo sul momento.

Poi, parlando, mi ha detto che lavora come modella da più di dieci anni, e a quel punto tutto è tornato. Si vedeva nel modo in cui stava davanti all’obiettivo, nel modo in cui capiva gli spazi, nella disponibilità con cui si è lasciata guidare e nella velocità con cui riusciva a entrare davvero dentro il set.

Non avevamo bisogno di grandi costruzioni per far funzionare le immagini. Sono bastati pochi elementi, una buona luce, il suo corpo asciutto e slanciato, un viso davvero bello e quella presenza sicura che ti fa capire subito quando una modella sa reggere la scena.

Abbiamo realizzato diversi contenuti, compreso un capitolo per il progetto THE BODY, e soprattutto abbiamo girato un backstage che per me è uno dei segnali più interessanti di questa nuova fase della pagina. Veronica si è prestata subito, senza chiudersi, senza irrigidirsi, parlando davanti alla camera, sorridendo, rivolgendosi direttamente ai FANATICs e lasciando vedere non solo il risultato finale, ma anche l’atmosfera che si era creata nello studio.

Questo è il tipo di contenuto che voglio portare sempre di più qui dentro: fotografie forti, certo, ma anche backstage vivi, momenti reali, modelle che non restano soltanto immagini, ma diventano presenze, voci, caratteri, incontri.

Il suo video introduttivo è già online per i miei FANATICs, e secondo me racconta benissimo il modo in cui Veronica è arrivata: con semplicità, professionalità, bellezza e una disponibilità che ha reso lo shooting immediatamente più coinvolgente.

Venerdì arriva il suo primo set fotografico.

Ed è qui che la cosa diventa interessante per chi sta ancora guardando la pagina da fuori.

Good morning, my dear Patreons,

I stepped away from the studio for a moment to grab my phone, and when I came back, Veronica was already in front of the light, without veils, ready to start shooting.

What struck me was not only how quickly it happened, but the absolute naturalness of it. One second we were still arranging things, the next she was there, as if the set had started by itself: calm, elegant, completely at ease, with that quiet confidence you simply cannot fake in front of a camera.

And that was exactly the way Veronica entered this page.

I had had her contact for more than a year. We had written to each other, there had been several times when we talked about organizing a shooting, but for one reason or another we had never really managed to set a date. In the end, all it took was a day that suddenly became available, a message sent on the spot, her immediate availability, and within two days Veronica was in my studio.

Late June, heat, summer in the air, very little time to build a complex concept. And yet I had the feeling it could work, because even just talking with her in chat, she had already seemed to me like a sharp, creative, present model, one of those people with whom you can also allow yourself to improvise without feeling the set slip out of your hands.

And it took very little to understand that the bet was right.

Veronica is Roman, young, beautiful, but above all she has a rare ease inside the photographic studio. I saw no embarrassment, no hesitation, no stiffness, none of those small tensions that sometimes accompany the beginning of a shooting. She entered the work with an almost surprising calm, listening, proposing, moving naturally and immediately making believable what we were building in the moment.

Then, while talking, she told me she has been working as a model for more than ten years, and at that point everything made sense. You could see it in the way she stood in front of the lens, in the way she understood the space, in the availability with which she let herself be guided and in the speed with which she truly entered the set.

We did not need big constructions to make the images work. A few elements were enough, a good light, her slender and elegant body, a truly beautiful face and that confident presence that makes you understand immediately when a model knows how to hold the scene.

We created several contents, including a chapter for the THE BODY project, and above all we shot a backstage that, for me, is one of the most interesting signs of this new phase of the page. Veronica immediately gave herself to it, without closing up, without becoming rigid, speaking in front of the camera, smiling, addressing the FANATICs directly and allowing not only the final result to be seen, but also the atmosphere that had formed inside the studio.

This is the kind of content I want to bring more and more into this page: strong photographs, of course, but also living backstage moments, real moments, models who do not remain only images, but become presences, voices, characters, encounters.

Her introductory video is already online for my FANATICs, and I think it tells very well the way Veronica arrived: with simplicity, professionalism, beauty and an availability that immediately made the shooting more engaging.
