Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Oggi torno su Veronica con Behind the Crown, il nuovo Cinematic Tuesday dedicato ai primi due set del suo shooting: Crowned in Pearls e Sovereign.

Una piccola parte di Crowned in Pearls l’avevate già vista nel primo video di presentazione, ma lì era davvero solo un assaggio: tre minuti per mostrarvi il suo ingresso in studio, qualche frammento del set e i saluti finali. Qui invece il discorso cambia, perché restiamo molto di più dentro il lavoro vero, con Veronica che posa, scherza, parla direttamente a voi FANATICs, segue le indicazioni, si prende il suo spazio e rende il backstage molto più vivo di un semplice “dietro le quinte”.

La cosa che mi piace di questo video è proprio il modo in cui tiene insieme le due anime dello shooting. Da una parte c’è la parte fotografica, quindi le pose, la luce, le correzioni, la costruzione dell’immagine; dall’altra c’è tutto quello che rende il set umano: le battute, le gag, la scelta dell’outfit, i momenti tra un cambio e l’altro, quella confidenza che con Veronica si è creata molto presto e che secondo me si sente tantissimo.

Dopo Crowned in Pearls, il video passa alla preparazione di Sovereign, e lì cambia anche il mood. Si va verso qualcosa di più regale, più distante, più costruito, ma senza perdere quella leggerezza che ha accompagnato tutta la giornata. Veronica entra nel personaggio, io lavoro sulla luce e sulla postura, e il backstage diventa interessante proprio perché si vede il passaggio: dalla Veronica più luminosa e preziosa del primo set a quella più elegante, fiera e misteriosa del secondo.

Per voi FANATICs questo video ha anche un valore in più, perché non chiude il backstage di Veronica: lo apre. Ci sono ancora altri set da raccontare, altri momenti da montare, altre parti dello shooting che arriveranno più avanti. Behind the Crown è quindi il primo vero capitolo lungo, quello che vi fa entrare nel clima della giornata e vi prepara a tutto quello che verrà dopo.

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

Today I return to Veronica with Behind the Crown, the new Cinematic Tuesday dedicated to the first two sets of her shooting: Crowned in Pearls and Sovereign.

You had already seen a small part of Crowned in Pearls in her first presentation video, but there it was truly just a taste: three minutes to show you her arrival in the studio, a few fragments of the set and the final greetings. Here, instead, the story changes, because we stay much longer inside the real work, with Veronica posing, joking, speaking directly to you FANATICs, following directions, taking her space and making the backstage much more alive than a simple “behind the scenes”.

What I really like about this video is the way it brings together the two souls of the shooting. On one side there is the photographic part: poses, light, corrections, the construction of the image; on the other, there is everything that makes the set human: jokes, little gags, the choice of outfit, the moments between one change and the next, that confidence that with Veronica was created very early and that, in my opinion, you can feel very clearly.

After Crowned in Pearls, the video moves into the preparation for Sovereign, and there the mood changes as well. We move toward something more regal, more distant, more constructed, but without losing the lightness that accompanied the whole day. Veronica enters the character, I work on the light and posture, and the backstage becomes interesting precisely because you can see the transition: from the more luminous and precious Veronica of the first set to the more elegant, proud and mysterious one of the second.

For you FANATICs, this video also has an extra value, because it does not close Veronica’s backstage: it opens it. There are still other sets to tell, other moments to edit, other parts of the shooting that will arrive later. Behind the Crown is therefore the first real long chapter, the one that brings you into the atmosphere of the day and prepares you for everything that will come next.
