Quindici corpi hanno ormai costruito un vero archivio, e oggi THE BODY arriva al capitolo XV.

Undici nuove fotografie, il volto ancora una volta escluso, le pose che chi segue il progetto riconoscerà subito e una nuova fisicità che rimette in gioco la stessa grammatica visiva. Dopo quindici capitoli è proprio questo che continua ad affascinarmi: vedere quanto possa cambiare l’immagine quando la struttura resta volutamente stabile e a cambiare è il corpo davanti all’obiettivo.

THE BODY è ormai uno dei progetti più riconoscibili della pagina, e ogni nuovo ingresso aggiunge una variazione reale a una serie che continua a crescere senza perdere la propria identità.

Fifteen bodies have now built a true photographic archive, and today THE BODY reaches chapter XV.

Eleven new photographs, the face once again excluded, the poses that those who follow the project will immediately recognize, and a new physicality entering the same visual grammar. After fifteen chapters, this is still what fascinates me the most: seeing how much an image can change when the structure deliberately remains the same and the body in front of the camera changes.

THE BODY has become one of the most recognizable projects on the page, and every new entry adds a genuine variation to a series that keeps growing without losing its identity.

Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Siamo arrivati a THE BODY – XV. Quindici corpi, e a questo punto la cosa che mi piace di più è vedere quanto il progetto riesca ancora a cambiare pur mantenendo quasi intatta la sua struttura.

Questo capitolo è nato direttamente durante lo shooting. Le ho raccontato THE BODY, il modo in cui lavoro sull’anonimato, sulla ripetizione delle pose e sulla sottrazione dell’identità, e ha voluto partecipare subito. Era la sua prima esperienza con il nudo artistico, ma la cosa che mi interessa davvero è un’altra: ha percepito immediatamente il progetto come qualcosa di diverso dal partecipare a un normale set di nudo artistico. È una reazione che mi è capitata già altre volte e credo dica molto su quanto l’anonimato riesca a cambiare il modo in cui viene vissuta questa serie.

Anche la post-produzione, questa volta, è stata più lineare del solito. Il corpo presentava pochissimi segni identificativi da neutralizzare, quindi ho potuto riportarlo dentro il linguaggio uniforme di THE BODY con molti meno interventi rispetto ad altri capitoli.

Il XV mi piace proprio perché conferma quanto ormai la struttura di THE BODY sia solida: basta inserire un corpo diverso perché le stesse pose e lo stesso linguaggio producano immagini nuove.

Sono curioso di sapere come lo percepite rispetto ai capitoli precedenti.

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

We have reached THE BODY – XV. Fifteen bodies, and at this point what I enjoy most is seeing how much the project can still change while keeping its structure almost completely intact.

This chapter was born directly during the shooting. I told her about THE BODY, about the way I work with anonymity, repeated poses and the removal of personal identity, and she immediately wanted to take part. It was her first experience with artistic nude photography, but what interests me most is something else: she immediately understood the project as something very different from taking part in a conventional artistic nude set. I have seen this reaction before, and I think it says a lot about how anonymity can change the way this series is experienced by the people who become part of it.

Post-production was also more straightforward than usual this time. The body had very few identifying marks that needed to be neutralized, so bringing it into the consistent visual language of THE BODY required far less intervention than some previous chapters.

What I like about XV is precisely how clearly it confirms the strength of the structure we have built: introduce a different body, and the same poses and the same visual language produce entirely new images.

I am curious to know how you perceive this chapter compared with the previous ones.
